I think, generally, I would consider my style classic with a twist. Today I wore a Burberry skirt and simple black H&M top with puffed sleeves, plus short boots that are lace-up and have a distinct combat flavor, accented with a feminine floral choker. The boots make me smile. Doc Martens are not for me, but I feel comfortable with these Borns, purchased at 75% off. Does the short height of the boots cut me off? Feel free to critique.

Kyle your legs are so long that I don't think there is a way to make them look stubby. It's a really cute outfit- very "Kyle"

I love it. Are those Born Kelles? I have the same ones and love them for the same reason - they're a shout-out to my Doc-wearing past but are a bit less clunky. Where did you get them for 75% off?! I don't regret paying full price for mine, but still...

Those boots look absolutely great. The fact that they don't gape and look tight to your leg makes them work. And the kilt ... one of my all-time favorite items.

I think this outfit is one of my favorites on you. That length and shape of skirt is so flattering. The tone on tone tights and boots work wonders for your already so long and lovely legs.

You look great. Do you feel you have a signiture style with all of your gorgeous skirts? You do have the best collection I've seen. I love the sweater with detail on the shoulders too.
And those boots, wish I could see a close up. I don't see them cutting you off because you have the dark tights on. I love the look of your boots.

San: Not sure the skirts are my signature...they could possibly be a phase...we'll have to see. But I like skirts, and I think they are more flattering on me, generally, than pants. I also find them versatile and they transition well from casual to dressy. I need to pull back on the flouncy skirts and focus on more classic pencil styles. A great-fitting pencil skirt is by far the best look for me.

I agree with the posters above: you have great legs and the mid calf boots look great on you. I have pretty muscular calves, but I wear mid calf boots because they are really tight and don't gap. Love the skirt and top.

Kyle, I actually love how you are embracing a different silhouette than the pencil skirt - as much as I love them - just because the pleated skirt *is* different from what we've been seeing so much of lately. You look awesome in your Burberry skirt - love it with the boots!
