Chunky Knit Moto Sweater

I know many of you are looking for a knitted moto jacket after Angie's blog the other day. I happened upon this one at Macy's and thought it looked pretty interesting. The knit is a bit chunky, so it may not be for everyone. But I thought it was worth mentioning, just in case.

Thanks, Nicole!
Your post reminded me to post more jackets I found.

My Mom has a similar jacket in fuchsia from Express (years and years ago). It totally works on her frame.

Nicole, I rather like that sweater, but it's too short for wearing with jeans on its own I suspect. Would it be ok to layer a long cami or turtle under it?

Ooooh. Nice!

Joy, I think you'd have to try the sweater on to see how it's length works--that model may be really long in the torso. I would imagine anything peeking out from the bottom would work just as well as any other sweater. Never know until you try!

There is a similar one onsale at gap too, only S and XL still available online but I have seen it in the store too.

Or this knit moto jacket from Bloomie's, in navy:

It's only $21!

Oh my. I think I like the gap one best so far. How un-Angie!

Huh that's weird.... the Bloomies one says $42 on my 'puter and the Gap one says available in S and L. I really like the knit of the Gap one.

Oooh. I love the Gap one. It's actually the first sweater in this style that I've liked so far (I like leather moto jackets but not most of the sweater ones).

Hmm, Nicole, the Bloomies one is extra 50% off that is reflected if you put it in your shopping bag. Right now the Gap site says that it is available in XS, M and XL.

I also really like the Gap one. Here's another one from Macy's:

Angie, which one do you prefer between this Macy one and the Gap one?

Hmmm. That’s a tricky one, Tanya. The belt loops look like they’re too low in the Gap style, but I really like the little belt. However, I know that Ben Sherman items usually fit. I’d have to try them both on to see. Which do you prefer?

Nicole, does this mean you’re going to try a knit biker jacket?

I prefer the Ben Sherman one Angie. I am actually planning to get it if they still have XS on my next payday. I do not feel comfortable paying as much as the Cynthia Vincent one costs, even on sale, it's too much for a knit.

I hope it's there for you, Tanya!

Me? No...I don't think my body type can handle it. Just living vicariously thru others...(sigh)

I'm going to try the Gap one. I wasn't really interested in a moto sweater but the belt puts me over the edge. I hope it's high enough.

I got the Gap sweater today. The belt loops are too low. I suppose I could have them moved or remove them all together. Hmmm... I like it, but I'm not sure it makes the have to have cut. It's definitely black, and I was hoping it would be more charcoal.
