The office Christmas party for the last three years has been a little different for me
2006 - 8 weeks pregnant
2007- Still feeding DD1, no alcohol
2008- 34 weeks pregnant

This year I'm neither pregnant nor feeding and my boss has the most fabulous celebration lined up starting here at 1.00pm

With many bars in between.

There are only four of is the office, this is not a day for networking, it is a genuine day for celebrating another year with colleagues who have become close friends.

Now for the dilemma, what to wear? I have recently bought this Gap dress and have styled it in two different ways (on the day I would also add grey micro fishnets and tie my hair back). Are either of these looks working for you?

I love #2. The dress has a 50's girly vibe so the boots and belt add a real tough edge and you have to use your new bag x

I love both looks!!! I think it is so beautifully feminine and I love the booties!!I am not sure about the white belt. How does it look without a belt?? The dress is so wonderful with your coloring and hair.

Thanks Jean, looking at the photos again this morning I believe the belts may not be working (adding one too many horizontal lines). What do you think to losing the belt and adding a cocktail ring?

I LOVE #2. It’s KILLER. Fabulous new bag and booties! Needs hose as you mentioned, although your body art is attractive. What are you going to wear on top? A coat?

I will be wearing a layer of heat tech and a slip under the dress for warmth indoors and this wool coat for when we are outside. I will also be able to fit gloves, spare hose and an umbrella into the second handbag.

Love the dress, belt, bag and especially booties on No.2. I also love your hair. Does it have to be tied back? It looks so 40s-esque and appealing like a blonde cloud.

Thanks Melanie, that's very kind. The photo was taken at the end of a long day, I just reapplied my lippy for the shots, I may wear my hair down but I will have to spend a little extra time than today on the styling!

BTW I have never failed to get a compliment when I have worn that dress, I don't often get compliments about my appearance but in this dress I seem to, which is nice for the self confidence.

I like 2 as well. Would never have guessed that dress came from Gap. I think it looks like it was made for you. And the events sound like SO MUCH FUN! I think 2 is perfect b/c you will look festive but still be comfortable. Have a blast and enjoy!
