I would pick the blue one, no question, (Even if I had a cobalt bag. Cobalt is a strong, rather demanding color. This one is almost neutral.) It's just so classic--nice with denim!

I would probably chose #3 - because I think that this leather would be more hard wearing than #1 and this colour would work with any colour scheme. Fantastic with black, navy and grey in winter, stunning with white and pastels for summer. Chanel bags are like tweed jackets - they can be worn in a fun and youthful way and also can be great for the classic older look.

Which one do you like best?

I always feel like handbags are like magic wands--they choose the owner. You should feel a strong connection with one of them. If you're not in super duper love with any of them, pass.

Of the three, I personally would choose #2 as I think it's the most versatile and the blue is so pretty. Next #1, the gold color is nice but I'm unsure about the perforations, it kind of reminds me of a wicker hamper. And then #3. Too much going on with the coins and too trendy, I worry that it will date more quickly.

Is Chanel really young looking though? I always associated it with more mature women since you kind of have to be of a certain age to afford it (unless your parents are really rich, LOL).

Yes, that's me: I'm old but not mature enough for Chanel. Hehe. I'd go for the blue because I like my earth tones in my clothes. But if I didn't, then I'd go for one of the others.

The second one is a classic Chanel flap bag, timeless, yet modern, high end, beautiful and it would be a good investment piece. There is very little that appreciates in fashion, but these bags certainly do. Assess the leather, lamb leather is the most delicate, caviar leather is more ideal. Consider the weight, the length of the strap, whether you like the gold hardware, how it sits on your body and whether it houses your everyday things. The blue colour is pretty and different enough from the cobalt PS and would work with most colours. I'm not as sure about the other two, as I haven't seen them IRL. Chanel bags are a personal favourite and you are lucky to get such a good deal. Just don't overload the bag or hang it with a lot in it as the base can sag slightly over time. It will be interesting to see which one you select if one of them speaks to you loudly enough. Only buy it if you love it though as it is a lot to spend on something you don't truly love.

I prefer the colour and texture of the cobalt, but even at a 50% discount, I would only get it if I loved it. Otherwise, I'd save up for my preferred style and colour, new or used.
