Challenging Angie - It's a Go! Let's Brainstorm

Now that our amazing challenge chain is pretty much complete, I was thinking it would be fun for the forum members to put our collective heads together and come up with a challenge for Angie.

Angie, are you okay with that?

If Angie agrees, she is NOT to read the rest of this thread until we come up with a challenge :) Once Angie agrees, we can go ahead and brainstorm here!

I'm in! I hope Angie accepts. I think it will be a challenge for us to come with something that would give her a run for her money. :D

Grin Laura and Ana. I agree, I think well be feeling extremely challenged by the time we've managed to come up with something challenging enough for Angie. But I'm game too.

*Grin*

I agree, our brilliant Angie will be extremely difficult to challenge. But I think we're up to it :)

I'm glad you guys want to play! Who else??

Oh, this is going to be a toughie. I've been here much less longer than you all have, but I'll try to be helpful :-D

pretty pretty please? with sugar and a cherry on top?

we promise to be nice!

Posted 4 months ago

We wouldn't make you look hideous or anything. :)

Posted 4 months ago

... Not that it's even possible for Angie to look hideous :)

(Now I'm REALLY buttering you up!!)

Posted 4 months ago

Oh, is it possible to challenge Angie? If so, I'm in.

After seeing Angie rocking the stirrups, I don't know whether we can challenge her to anything at all :) But I'd love to try! Angie, pleeeeaase ...

Posted 4 months ago

I am in as well.

Posted 4 months ago

Ooh, this sounds nice!
I hope Angie accepts the challenge... I can't wait to see what you'll come up with for her! :)

Posted 4 months ago

I think you all have to get Angie "in" first! LOL

Posted 4 months ago

Pleeeea, Angie!!!! We all think that you are brilliant and would absolutely rock any challenge the forum can come up with!

*chuckle*

Sure! Angie is in on it.

But I'll be reading this thread because you sort of can’t expect me not to! You have my promise that I shan't interfere with the brainstorming though. I’m as good as my word. Hopefully you can trust me on that one :0)

I am totally in on this although I haven't a clue what Angie couldn't pull off. I do remember she mentioned having just one boho top though...

Posted 4 months ago

I am in, was waiting for the Angie ok.

Posted 4 months ago

Remind me, we are NOT supposed to purchase anything for the challenge, right? Or did I misunderstand that part.

Posted 4 months ago

No Angie, you do not have to purchase anything. I mean, you could if you wanted to but it's certainly not something we would require.

Fabulous.

Posted 4 months ago

Okay I vote "maxi dress."

<insert evil laugh>

Posted 4 months ago

Bwahahaha, Shiny. Too bad we just told her she didn't have to buy anything. But wouldn't it be hilarious (and unlikely) if she happened to have one in her closet?

Here's one idea: I've been reading Kendall Farr's Style Evolution and have come to the part where she suggests studying designer collections, especially the details, for inspiration. How about challenging Angie to come up with a fall outfit inspired by a designer's fall collection, or some similar challenge. At least one place collections can be viewed is Style.com. We could pick the designer.
I, for one, would like to see how a pro like Angie goes about doing this.

Oooh, I like Joy's idea because it involves fall clothing. I've seen Angie do her version of boho so let's not make that the challenge, it would be too easy.

Angie was inspired recently by Vera Wang ... and she loves 60s mod style ... and she is excited about the 80s revival ... hmmmmm ...

(OT: It's very interesting how in American-English people refer to other people as “he”, “she”, “his”, “her” right in front of them. Like Kristen saying: “we just told HER she didn't have to buy anything. But wouldn't it be hilarious (and unlikely) if SHE happened to have one in her closet?”) – while I’m here. This doesn’t happen in English-English. You; have referred to me by my name. I know it’s a bit of inane information but these types of things intrigue me. I could go on and on about it!)

Anyway, I can’t resist letting Shiny know that I have a maxi dress in my wardrobe. All long frocks are maxi :0)

is it too late to join the party?

will be thinking! :)

Coco Chanel? Any time period from her line? I would love to see a totally Chanel inspired piece. Sour color might take a back seat. I love the designer inspired idea.

Posted 4 months ago

Maybe let her choose between fashion icons ... Coco Chanel, Twiggy, Vera Wang. Or ask her to pick a couple?

Posted 4 months ago

Not that a designer-inspired challenge isn't a great idea, but I would like to throw another idea into the mix!

With all of Angie's fashion industry insider information, why not challenge her to compile an outfit that incorporates at least FIVE of the upcoming fall trends...all at once!

Selfishly, I would LOVE to see how upcoming trends would be interpreted and incorporated in real life and give me a solid idea what I should be considering for my own wardrobe for the fall. Sometimes those trend lists are too abstract for my visual mind....
