We had our first snowfall on Monday, and I was mostly at home or running errands, so it was a day to be comfy.

1. This look, particularly with the cardi and grey tones, was inspired by Ceit. The teal scarf brings a little more color near my face, and honors my life for rich color. The underlayer is a lightweight sweatshirt. The boots are old and suede, and perilously close to Uggs. They're as comfy as slippers, however, even if they lack a little fashion edge.

2. Switched to my Khombu weatherproof boots for going out in the snow.

3. An example of too many good things at once. Dear Lord. Yes, those are leopard print gloves (or a skin disease). More teal in the hat. Deep purple in the coat. I think the gloves and coat would be best with a simple black knit hat. I'll save the teal accessories for my grey or black coats in the future. Love the deep color in the coat, and like it best on 45 degree days when no hat and gloves are necessary.

I'm working to make grey work for me, and the scarf is part of this plan. Does the teal seem well enough "integrated" with the first look, or just like it's pasted on top of an outfit that would better without it?

I'm also learning that even Divas have their limits! I'm not minimal, but not maximal, either. Most of the time I like one big focus point and one rich, small detail. Obviously, I have overshot the mark in the last look, but at least I knew it right away. And at least I loved every item! Takeaway? Don't wear all the goodies in your closet all at once!
