I've just gotten a job for July and August working as a counsellor at a theatre day camp, and naturally I'm already thinking about what I should wear. We were told that on the Monday and Friday we will have to wear the camp t-shirt (I think it's impossible to make that stylish) but for the other days, I'm wondering what will look cute but also be functional, as I will be looking after kids and doing active stuff like crafts, dancing, and putting on plays. My first thought was a sort of uniform of walk shorts (falling from the hip since I'm pear-shaped), thong sandals, and knitted tops or blouses. The director basically told us we could wear what was appropriate and comfortable, including jeans, so I think casual wear is perfectly acceptable (and practical for the job), but I still want to be put-together, since I will be around my peers and of course, the parents of the campers.
Anyone have any thoughts about the sort of things I could wear? I'll probably leave the shopping until the end of the month, but I'd still like to start thinking about it, since I'll have plenty of other events to worry about dressing for (weddings, showers, graduation, etc).
