Angie's post about cardigans vs pullovers inspired me to think about why I have so few, namely two of each. I know I live where cold days are few in number, but I like cardigans for the reasons she lists. As for pullovers, I just bought my only two this month on an impulse. I think one of the main reasons I don't have more is because they require more care. Often they need to be hand washed and almost always laid flat to dry. Photos below show my new pullovers from Nordstroms. One of my cardigans perfectly matches my green pullover.

You found some really cosy and interesting cardis, as well as some attractive and useful pullovers. I had to take a second look at #2, the colors match so well I took it for a vest. You know, I really like that idea - with the color-matched sweater underneath, it reads like a vest over a sweater. The next time you wear it over, say, a gray crew neck - it reads as a long sleeved cardi over a tee.

Well done! I'm gonna keep my eyes open for a trickster duo like this!

P.S. I find sweaters and cardis, since I always wear with a layer underneath, can go for multiple wearings before needing cleaning. This makes the extra care they do need at cleaning worth it to me, when you factor in the length of time between cleanings. Just a brief tumble of a DRY sweater in the dryer, and it is refreshed and unwrinkled.

Thanks cynthiswalkersmith, Ipr200, chewyspaghetti, Bennett, and Style Fan: I do have the cards dry-cleaned but have washed these pullovers in the machine in a net bag and they dried fairly fast because I live where there is low humid air. (#1 shows a wool poncho/ruana and it's not a sweater, my other sweater is also a green waterfall, very similar to the one in #2 - shown below. It's lighter weight and I wear it in fall or spring.)

Bonnie I really like the green cardigan. I like that whole outfit. It's kind of tone on tone.

It's funny to think it never gets cold at your house, so why would you have sweaters. I live in a desert yet I have a raincoat because I do go places where it rains.

JAileen: Thank you. I live in the desert, too. The temperatures were in the 50's a few weeks ago (that's when I decided to get pullovers) but are now back up to low 70's and it's supposed to snow on Sunday. We also get monsoons in the summer, so I have a raincoat, too.

I love your cardi's! Absolutely love both. I have the BP pullover in forest green and I like it a lot. I could have sized down as it's quite roomy but it's comfortable to wear with leggings and warm!
