Capsule for my citron ankle pants

Angie's post inspired me to do a small capsule for my own citron or light yellow gold ankle pants. I wish that I could like directly to my capsule but will try to put it in Finds on this post. Theses are the items that seemed to work when trying things on. I stuck to white as the neutral. I am posting this in hopes to inspire others to make capsules. Would you make any eliminations? Do you see holes?

Beautiful capsule, Joy. I do not see any holes at all. You have two similar gold belts and two pale denim jackets, but I don't know if they serve different purposes - one jacket could be of the right length for the pants and the other for the skirts, etc.

Thank you, Tanya. You are wonderfully observant. Yes, one pale blue denim jacket is more fitted and cropped than the other. I am trying to keep just one, but use them differently. The gold belts are different widths and one is much more shiny. I should just keep the wider, less shiny one.

Thank you, Sterling. I used to just wear full neutrals and greyed down colors. Ms. Mary and, of course, Angie, have been my inspiration for adding more color.

Beautiful, Joy! I can't wait to see some of these outfit options on you. I don't see any holes and you have explained the apparent duplications. Isn't it amazing how proportion makes such a difference?

I am wondering if you want to keep the contrast low like this or if you want to introduce some higher contrast elements? I know your overall look is "light" and you do low contrast outfits incredibly well and elegantly -- just curious!

Thank you, Suz. Yes, proportion can make a big difference whether or not an outfit feels and looks good. I am being more careful of high contrast. The strange thing is that black and white doesn't seem to bother me. I think the key is to have a column of color, either internal or external, and then add a high contrast topper or accessory.
I have a high contrast kimono jacket that I like with a citron top as it has a bit of citron on the pattern. See Finds below. I like it best with the tank pictured but this piece was a reject in the capsule. I'm more likely to put pastel colors with midtones like medium faded denim.

You are amazing Joy! Your capsules are not only wearable and versatile but also so creative and fun. I love how you have paired the warm yellow with white, and that you added gold footwear, jewelry and accessories (nice finishing touches).

You have a LOT of choices! I know this is about how things go together but I so need to highlight a couple of items -- I am green with envy over your gold belts and the kimono jacket you posted further down the thread is a showstopper.

El Cee, I kind of copied Angie on the white and the light denim. my chambray shirt was in the wash, so I've not tried it yet. I like gold metal with the yellows but I also like silver.

Brie and Coco, that kimono jacket is one of the best pieces I have. It is linen so makes a great summer topper. I also wear it a lot with my dove grey and it works with black and white.

Shevia, I am really working on photos for custom finds right now as I slowly go through my wardrobe so that I will know what I have when it is packed away for moving. A huge thanks to Greg and Angie for this useful tool.

the palette looks sophisticated and at home in your "quiet elegance" realm.
I see Suz was thinking adding contrast, and I was thinking the opposite : striking out (of the capsule, not of your wardrobe the jacket with black buttons.
To me, it calls for more contrast and black accessories to match (I must have some of that Goldenpig's matchymatchy compulsion and leaving the capsule pale in white, gold, light blue would look more cohesive.
I don't see any holes.

Skylurker, thank you for your thoughts. The plaid jacket does look out of place. I included it because in early spring I like to wear it with a black and white polkadot shirt and the golden raisin pencil skirt, grounded with black accessories as you said. It is not bad with the ankle pants but I never wear them together. I will remove the jacket from this capsule rather than add black.

Wow, this is great to see, so helpful. I really like the low contrast look, very soothing. I tend to create more contrast in my outfits but I really like this.

Angie, I don't know what I ever did before denim. When I joined YLF, I had none. Thank you for your helpful examples of capsules. I use them as a template. I feel that this one is missing prints and texture, except for the gingham shirt.

Great capsule Joy! I think if you wanted to expand, a little blush would be lovely here. Might also be fun to try adding in a little dove gray and silver, in place of gold (belt, shoes, jewelry, etc.), for accents.

Ah, but would it look adorable on an old grey-haired lady? I don't think that we have a Zara locally. How is the sizing?

I will definitely use these pieces with dove grey and silver. I have also used them with brights like my orange blazer.

Below are some tops that I've liked with the ankle pants. a couple seemed too green for the rest of the capsule and the tee has lots of darker colors but would work well with light grey.

Great capsule! I like the tonal looks.
I think you could add somd brights but then might want several items for cohesion. Or in accessories.
