Camisole Question

I have a top that has become a closet orphan because I am just not sure how to wear it. it is a bit sheer so needs a camisole:

If I wear it with black pants (silky track pants) should I:
a- wear it with a black camisole
b- wear it with a nude camisole
c- wear it with a white camisole
d- don't wear it with black pants

If I wear it with white pants (skinny jeans) should I:
a- wear it with a black camisole
b- wear it with a nude camisole
c- wear it with a white camisole
d- don't wear it with white pants

I suspect you are probably going to get a few differing replies, but here's my take on it. As it's striped I think a black camisole will look worse showing through the white stripes than vice versa, so I would be inclined to say go for nude when wearing with black pants and either nude or white when wearing with white pants. Oh, and I think it should look equally great with either black or white bottoms.

The simplest, subtlest, and I think, best route would be the black pants with a black camisole, and the white with white. That way the pants and camisole are kind of a united background field for the top.
Nude might be okay for both but would look more like underwear.

Love the quiz. In your tight wardrobe, this top needs to start pulling its weight! I vote nude cami with black pants, and either nude or white cami with white bottoms.

With white I would go,white but that is just my preference.

Thanks all- looks like nude or clack with black and white with white wins- I wore it with nude amisole/black pants the one time I wore it and no one commented (even my husband) so I was not sure if it was an epic fail or not. Will try to post pics if I get the hang of taking photos in a mirror (that don't look ghastly).

Instead of a cami, what about a long-sleeve thin silky white t-shirt under the striped top?
