Q&A about individual items, ensembles, and wardrobe

Calvin Klein NAS coat (coat twins with San!)

I couldn't resist wearing a pair of gloves I got at the end of the season from Target, even though it's nearly 90 degrees here today. :)

You look so elegant! The coat is beautiful on you and then the gloves....as Stacy London on What Not to Wear would say...."its shut up cute" her highest praise (if you watch the show, I love it).

KILLER.

April, THAT is sophistocated. You look beautiful!

Gorgeous on you! I think it'd be cute to put a pretty broach on the collar too :)

April, your coat is gorgeous and fits beautifully! Oh, I am sooo jealous!

BEAUTIFUL!!!! My you have good taste!!! It looks so good on you with your hair, and now that my hair is brown it should work very well.
If I remember correctly it was Angie that eyeballed this coat on the rack and had me try it on, so that means that Angie picked out your coat!!! How about that!
I'll try to get a picture tomorrow.

Fantastic! I love the color and the style is perfect on you. Did you get a petite version, April?

OMG, you look AWESOME in that coat April! I like the gloves too ;)

50&S - I have never seen that show but my sister did the "shut up" imitation for me and assured me it was a major compliment. :)

Angie -- woo hoo, KILLER means a lot to me, especially since I really love this coat. Killer AND sophisticated has made my day.

LH - a brooch is a great idea! Or maybe one of my flower pins...

Debora - we clearly have the same taste in coats. :)

San - can't wait to see it on you!

Marianne - yes, this is CK's 2P. I often find the sleeves too short on petites (monkey arms) but these are a generous length and I think I will leave them this length for warmth.

CC - the gloves have a patent cuff around the wrist that I found quite edgy (and surprising for Target). I got them too late to wear them last year but am now ready for the cold weather - if it ever arrives again...

Just gorgeous! Almost makes you wish for cold weather, right? :)

Wow! That coat really emphasizes your hourglass figure. Love it on you.

Hmmm, you both look so great that I'm wondering if I should have tried that coat. It looks like a good weight...warm but not too heavy.

Darn Joy, I believe the sale is over now. It is just like you say, not too heavy, quite comfy and cozy. Did you get a coat at the sale? I know you got a leather one, did you also get a wool coat?

This coat is a good shape but also the fabric is sooooo soft and cozy...

They do still have it (though, oddly, under a different name - I seem to recall it being sold as the "pant coat," and now it's the "wrap topper") though unfortunately the price is far less inviting now than it was during the NAS.

Anyway, for whatever it's worth: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/29.....06&P=1

P.S. Forgot to say San, you look great in this coat! It's a very flattering style on you - we'll be coat twins until the weather gets truly brutal... :)

Swooning here!!! April, both you and San look absolutely stunning in this coat. Very sophisticated and elegant indeed. I'm going to have a second look at both your pictures and sigh some more;-)

San, I learned from mistakes made at this years NAS sale. Next year I'll scoop up everything I'm attracted to early and decide later what to keep. I was waiting to see if I was going to keep the leather jacket and a couple of other pieces that had to be ordered and waited too long. The calendar will be marked with the date of beginning and END of the sale. For some reason I thought it went through Aug. 5th.
Anyway, no wool coat this year. I don't own a wool coat as most have seemed too heavy. Wool is iffy for me in Kansas City because winters have been mild in the past except for about a week. This coat just looks right. I'll have to stalk it to see if it goes on sale this winter. April, thank you for the information on it and link.
