Thank you all for chiming in! I'll have to wait until the Jan sales and see if the coat is still there. Hopefully it is
Staysfit - So true that room for extra air is insulating and warmer. I have a bottle green wool coat that is quite fitted. I can't layer much under and I can't wear it when freezing cold (-4/5 Celsius and colder)
crutcher - Thanks for you insight and sharing your experience. I'll definately that that into account.
Jules - Yes, I love vintage and like to add a retro element to my outfits.
Windchime - I have a grey parka, a green wool coat (vintage), a camel hair coat (vintage), caramel-ish jacket with wool inside (vintage) and a dark blue puffer jacket ('70-ish style). I'm always grabbing my parka, even when a coat or peacoat would be far better (i.e. with skirts and dresses). I was thinking that a proper wool coat would be dressier, more appropriate and cohesive. LOVE "the Winter of the Beautiful Yellow Coat"!!
K.M. - yay for bright coats! I'm tired of all the grey, black and dark colours, too. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Stering - I'll scrunch the sleeves and have a second, critical look when I try it again. I do think the sleeve shortening will alter the overall impression, though.
Suz, Susie, Angie, Shannon, Alesia - I count your votes! Thanks for chiming in, Angie - I'm always trusting you!
