I'm at a consignment shop. This Joie cardi is an open assymetrical design in 3 shades of grey. It's a medium, so sized up for me. What do you think? 100% soft wool.

I love the look...A medium sounds large in size for you but it looks great on...I am such a neutral wearer until I hope someone else will chime in...but for me, you look FAB in this and I already see many outfits...Good luck...

I think it looks great from the front. My only hesitation is whether it's too short in back. I have a cardi like that - love it from the front, but find the back to be annoyingly short.

I like the jeans, and I like the color combination on the sweater. I think that there is too much bulky drape on the front of the sweater, though.

I left it and decided to give this piece more thought. I am traveling so don't have much with me, but could not think of anything that I was ready to part with to give either the cardi or jeans a spot. Thank you for your thoughts and support. The cardi has a lot of volume and is quite short in back. I'd feel like my non-hips were on display. I have a long heather grey Halogen boyfriend cardi from a couple of years ago that I wouldwear instead.

It really is a test when traveling to see if you'd be willing to give something up to make room to bring it home.. A great time to play with trying things you might not normally try on....
Your reasoning for passing is sound, regarding that lovely sweater!

I don't seem to be thinking of the sweater as much as I thought I would. I think I have enough that I'm happy with for this winter season, although early spring may need some color. Probably next fall/winter I will be ready to update cardigan and then may want a different style. I did come home with a brown bag to update a very old hobo brown bag. Photo will be added from my phone since it hasn't shown up on my IPad album yet.. It is a Kenneth Cole and looks new.

Lovely purse! Bravo for your self control. I think the cardigan looked nice as well, but I wasn't the one who was going to have to wear it.

For myself, I would want the short back and long front to be reversed on the cardigan. What did you decide about the jeans?

I did not buy the jeans either. They didn't excite me, were a little tight although they would probably loosen up, and the grey had a dirty look. They were also still over $50 and I thought I'd rather wait for something better. So I still don't have grey jeans that I love. I should have bought a pair of EF ones that I tried last spring.

Nice bag, Joy! You looked great in the sweater and jeans, but I thought the sweater was a more voluminous style than I've seen you wear. The jeans looked like a closer fit than your usual, too, and perhaps a little "last year" in that regard. You wear a slightly slouchy or fluid fit so nicely--I'd keep looking for something more like that in the jeans.
