I thrifted this dress last year and chose to wear it yesterday to the homeschooling field trip to see A Christmas Carol. It's 30% wool and 7)% acrylic. The wool makes it warm enough to wear without a jacket, though I've worn it mostly with one...
With my recent weight gain, I was surprised that I felt ok in this without a completer piece... that's progress!

Since DD wore a deep red sweater dress and black boots, I respectfully opted for my burgundy boots. When I mentioned it to her, she gave that appreciative glance and that was enough... She really speaks strongly with me with just looks... We took that so for granted until I was a girl scout leader and we would do it in a room of people and end up in giggles... We realized how special it was when we saw other mother/daughter reactions.. Isn't it funny how sometimes we need others to add value to things?
Want to see my DD's creativity in wrapping her youngest brother's gift? A tradition she began years ago and thank goodness still is doing as he mentioned it to me last week.. On my blog
