I did a closet purge a couple of months ago, getting rid of things I haven't worn in years or things that no longer fit right or I didn't feel good in after my body changed post-baby. It left me with very little to work with and a lot to rebuild.

I'm starting to daydream about warmer temperatures and have started thinking about my spring/summer wardrobe. I'd like to build a capsule similar to what Angie has put together here: http://youlookfab.com/2014/05/.....or-summer/

Additionally, I'd like to throw in a few dresses. I work in a very casual office, so something like this capsule can work for the weekend and for the office most days (provided I keep a topper or two in my office for when the a/c is on full blast). I'm also in Austin, so HOT is our dominant season, and I expect to get a lot of wear out of many of the pieces.

Based on what I have now, my wish list looks something like this:

2-3 dresses
1-2 pairs of shorts
cropped white pants or jeans
2 blouses
2 tees
2 fluid/silky tanks
casual slip-on shoe
casual flat sandal

I've been such an unorganized shopper in the past, buying things here and there without really having a strategy, I'm not sure how much I should be budgeting for a list like this.

How you do you arrive at a reasonable budget when you are in need of quite a few items? So far, I've averaged what I consider a reasonable price for each piece and added it all up, but I'm sure you all have better strategies! Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!
