Brought a Haul back from the Mall-

looking for something to wear to a Mardi Gras theme fundraiser next weekend. the dress will be "Festive Casual" from jeans to dresses. People don't go all out where I live, so I don't want to be overdressed...appreciate any feedback on these purchases...

looking for the infamous YLF dress, I found a 9 West in a different pattern, after reading other posts I was worried if I ordered it would be too short, it is too short isn't it?

Great haul! Did you get a pair of Fidjis too? They look great on you!

I love everything, especially ensemble #2, and that top with the creme pants. So fab!

Regarding the Nine West dress length... I think it's up to your comfort level. It is a bit on the short side, in my opinion... especially bare legged. With tights it's better. You have a great figure and nice legs so you can get away with it if you wanted to!

I love everything that LBD is babulous. Too me the nine west dress is short barelegged but with the tights it looks great.

The Nine West dress seems a little short to me too, and I agree, with tights, it's better.

I love, love, love the silk cowlneck and pencil skirt outfit! It's sooo pretty!

You have lots of choices! Any outfit you're thinking would work best for the event?

Everything is lovely !! I agree that the 9 W dress seems short, it also seems like a tunic...

It is so hard to choose a favorite. I do love the silk top, cream pants, and long denim jacket. It just screams casual, modern, elegance to me.

That little black dress is super flattering. Think of everything you'll be able to do with that. Nice. The first B&W dress is, sadly, too short. Better with tights, but if you keep it it's probably better as a tunic. I love the colors of the cowl neck and the skirt. You rock the green. I think I am put off by the fact that they are both "shiny" fabric, so I think I would prefer each of them paired with something else. You look great in the slacks, by the way...and that jacket is very versatile and flattering on you. Hope this helps.

Marianna-Yes , those are Fidji pumps, I'm glad you like them, I'm hoping they will be very versitle because it's the most I've ever spent on a pair of shoes! I realize the dress is too short, the pictures help me see it even more!

queenie! Thanks for noticing I was gone, I missed YLF like crazy! Just got back from vacation, we survived the tsunami in Hawaii, lol! Had to evacute our hotel, but it was all a non-event, Thank God! Thanks for your input on the outfits, and dress, I think it is going back!

Kyle- Thanks for that. My first thought was that I wouldn't wear them together, but the sales clerk thought it looked good together. Probably should return the skirt and the black and white dress. The jacket and slacks were already in my closet, yeah!

Angie-some felt that I shouldn't mix the two shiny silks (lthe green silk top with the silk skirt), what is your opinion on that...also, do you have a suggestions as to what would be more appropriate for this event, I'm leaning towards the silk top and creme pants with my longer jean coat..what do you think...Thanks so much...

I am totally on board with the mixing of the two silks! It's like you're wearing a dress. Fab! Different! I prefer that outfit to the slacks.

But the LBD is best :0)

My favorite is the pants combo for a festive casual look. The shade of green is stunning on you. I also like the top and the skirt (beautiful pattern) together, but it does seem more dressy. Save it for a night out with your husband?

I LOVE that first dress with the striped stockings and boots. I'm not so crazy about it with bare legs and the sandals, but maybe I'm just not in bare leg mode yet. I also liked it with the booties but that didn't wow me like the boots did.

I adore the watercolor skirt but am not as crazy about the blouse. I like the blouse, like the neckline, like the color, but just don't care for it with the skirt. I wonder how it would look with pants or even as a way to dress up jeans?

Oh wait! Now I see that blouse with the pants. Now THAT is fab! Love, love, love!
And that with the denim jacket? Whoo hoo!
