I think most types of boots work with skinnies as long as they are wide enough to accomodate the jeans, so make sure you wear the jeans when trying on the boots.
Dark denim is classed as a neutral so any colour boots you fancy would work

Like Loulou, I think that almost any color works. The only problem I have with tucking straight leg jeans is that I get a bunchy look at the knees, which is both funny looking and uncomfortable.

For me, it would depend on what other colors I was wearing. But as loulou mentioned, dark blue would go with black and brown.

Yes, you can, depending on the straight legs and the jeans. They'd work better with slouchy boots, since you don't need to fuss with the hem so much.
