Boots for A Really Narrow Calf

I've had boots on the brain lately and remember that someone was looking for boots with a narrow shaft. I tried on a pair of Martinez Valero stretch boots and believe me, they're nicely snug on a narrow calf. The brand is made in Spain and tends to narrow, pointy toes and higher heels--3".

They do make a boot with a 1-1/2" heel (saw them on Zappos, on sale) so those might be worth a look if you have skinny calves like I do. These boots aren't for cold or snowy winter wear, since they're stretch microfiber with leather soles, but if you need something attractive for a temperate climate, they could do the trick.

Oooh, thanks for the tip. The best boots I bought last year for my skinny calves was also made in Spain -- maybe there's something to that?

Was it April who was looking for boots that fit this description?

That's a great tip, thanks garmenta! I remember Angie saying that Euro brand boots tend to have narrower shafts, so definitely worth the try.

It was me, it was! :) Also Taylor and a number of other narrow-calfed YLFers.

Thank you -- I am going right now to look at those boots on Zappos...

Oh, boo hoo. As you pointed out, Garmenta - no pun intended :) - they do have very pointy toes. This is somehow not a look that I have ever warmed up to, though I know people swear they are very flattering.

Of course, while there, I found Stuart Weitzmans that are just the calf size I need, but are a little (a lot) above my price range.

Why do so many brands offer wide calf sizes, while no one except Duo lets you choose a narrow-calf dimension?
