So, total newbie here, but I was wondering if there was some sort of guideline on where knee-high boots were supposed to hit you. I had always assumed this was at or no more than 1 inch under the knee. Am I correct?

What about mid calf?

I have a couple of boots classified as mid-calf, but due to my short legs, they hit me about two inches below the knee. I find below the knee boots to be more flattering to my legs, so most knee highs are out due to both my short stature and leg shape! I've been trying to find a knee-high that hits just a inch below the knee, but is that even knee-high, or am I making it up?
