Thanks for the translation, Rambling Ann!

Rachy, I'm seeing lots of these in the stores, but not so many on peoples' feet. I don't mind the higher-heeled versions, but couldn't wear those myself. I think I'll let them pass me by.

Well, my prob is that a block heel , not high though, is very functional for me. That puts me at risk of choosing the heel and not always the total look or " on trend" style.
That said, I returned the silver heeled sandals I showed awhile back even though they were very comfortable. ( sort of curved block). I agree that I tend to like some of the leather , chunky natural tone versions the most.

I like them as long as the heel's not super big and blocky. I like the retro feel, and I skew toward chunkier heels anyway because they're easier to walk in and feel less fussy than little delicate ones.

I even like the sandal in Rambling Ann's link. Then again, I may just be destined for Boca at some point anyway. My grandparents lived right near there.

I am not educated on the stack/block heel trend, but I have just invested in 3 colors of this sandal, thanks to Shannon looking so amazing in the nude pair!
I just got back from a 4 day trip to CA and these shoes were incredibly comfortable for walking through cities and airports. They will be my summer staple for sure.

I'm so on board!

The 1940s and 1970s styles make me skip and sing!

Almost bought 2 pairs from Target this week. And I'm still thinking of them... so I think I will buy them. (Sorry for separate link and photo YLF Collect gives me an error message saying it can only collect clothes, footwear, and accessories. Are these sandals not footwear?? Ha!)

Not nearly as chunky but the clear heel is just marvelous!

Et voila! These shoes appeared in my ad feed while I was on this thread looking for inspiration and examples. It's a sign.

Guilty of block heel *and* peep toe love! These are very easy on my poor feet.

I have the sandals that Diane showed. In a pale tan.

Okay, I confess. I have never been into stilettos, platforms, or flatforms, and I am kind of bored by wedges. But I have always loved the block heel. I am in a crazy sort of glory this season with all the great shoes around, because usually it is hard to find beautiful / interesting block-heeled shoes. I just bought the Freebird sandals below, and I love the other Finds I pinned as well -- lots of different moods there. If the JCrew turquoise suede pumps weren't quite so high I would get those in a hot minute. They are what I imagine my grandmother would have worn if she had had a sexy heyday (but she was a repressed Brit, alas!). To me, today's block-heeled shoes and sandals are often a wonderful modern/retro mashup.

And, block heels -- if the right height for you -- are totally walkable. What is not to love about that?

I do like block heels. I have some sandals similar to the laceups Runcarla shows. They are so comfortable to walk in; they don't feel like a heel at all. Mine are by P. Monjo and are a previous version of these.

Fortunately, I missed Clinton Kelly and the "dreaded Boca sandal," so I don't have that hurdle to get over to wear them. Ignorance=bliss, huh? Ha haha!

These are some great shoes. I'm starting to feel the block heel again. Definitely personally need a wide front strap, tho. Deformed bunion feet to accommodate...

Ha abc - I have bought a pair this season and not been out the door in them because they just look too nineties. Impulse buy.I think they need a shorter dress or skirt to do legs justice too.

I am with Viva, love them. I will wear stiletto heel very occasionally, have old wedges but not adding new. I adore the solidity ease and height of the block heel, especially if stacked!!
