Round faced with glasses here I'm notorious for constantly changing my hairstyle, so I've pretty much had almost every haircut (and colour) under the sun :)...
You mentioned that you are growing your hair out so I'll limit my suggestions to longer hairstyles. I found that what works for me best is longer layers - the shortest being below the chin. That is a constant in all my longer haircuts.
If you're thinking about bangs, sideswept, longer bangs are apparently best for rounder faces. Half-moon bangs apparently work as well.
I'm a weird one though because I actually sport blunt bangs and long layered hair. The bangs don't 100% work on my face but they worked for my personality. It makes my face look a little wider, but I don't quite mind that. I'm growing my hair out though and plan to have longer bangs.
