I haven't posted outfits in a while. Now that my teaching responsibilities for the semester are over, my outfits are usually more casual and I have been too lazy to take pictures. My outfits from this week:

Bella, fab as ever! Love the pink with green in the Monday outfit. The blue dree on Tuesday looks great paired with the denim jacket. Love the colors and the necklace in the Wednesday outfit. The Thursday outfit is so cool! I really like the great accents on that color palette, white necklace and red shoes.

Is that jacket from this season at ON? I really need a denim jacket

I just realized that it went on sale. After stalking it for weeks, I finally caved in 2 weeks ago and purchased it at full price. Oh well, I've been wearing it practically everyday ever since so I guess it was worth it.

Great week as always. I don't know if I would like the dress on its own but that is a very personal/subjective statement--I just don't care for the pattern. BUT I like how you have worn it and it seems to fit you well.

Everything else is lovely. The first one especially is so colorful and springy, even with the boots.

Thanks Maya. I've been really thinking about your question on footwear on rainy days. The weather here is still cold enough that I can get away with boots on most days, besides they keep my feet warm and toasty in the freezing library even in the warmest days. But I still want to find an option that would work on hot, humid and rainy summer days. Let me me know if you find a solution. So far, my solution is either boots with skirts or fashion sneakers with jeans, neither of which make me very happy.

I was just thinking about that today Bella. I don't know what the solution is. I think Sarah asked about this just a few days ago but I don't know if it reached a resolution. Patience said she just wears sandals and makes sure to avoid puddles! But of course she lives in Texas. I don't think it gets quite as hot here in the northeast.

But I am skeptical as to how dry your feet would stay. I mean, they are basically rubber ballet flats. Water would get in easily regardless of the material.

Oxfords maybe? I think no matter what you would have to end up in a closed shoe because nothing else will keep the rain out.

BTW, regarding the jacket, I would be surprised if Old Navy didn't do price adjustments.

Bella, fabulous as always! I especially like the last one with the vest & pearls. I like how you've styled your target dress with the denim jacket but though I don't care for the print. I think I would like it better if you would style it a bit funkier - so switch out the pearls for some other chunky necklace maybe?

I also bought my chunky pearls on ebay - they were so cheap but the quality was fantastic. Truly one of my best jewelry purchases ever!

I was in your neck of the woods today - I hit up the Urban Outfitters on Broadway to try on the skinny jeans that Shiny mentioned. I ended up buying the jeans as well as a cute floppy straw hat!

I really like the first and fourth outfits. The color combination in no.1 is striking (in a very good way), and you wear bright colors so well. I also like how the white blouse takes it up a notch. No.4 is smashing!

I love every outfit you posted, as usual. I really like the dress with the denim jacket. I think it's a lovely outfit and fits you to a t. The demin jacket was a great score! My favorite, though, is outfit 4 with the vest.

The dress looks great with the denim jacket. How do you feel about the frock worn on its own? I guess like Taylor, my favourite outfit of the week is the last one. Those pants fit REALLY well. You look deliciously svelte in them. Duplicate!

Re: chunky pearls - I was really skeptical at the beginning but now it is my favorite necklace. I own many many necklaces but this is the first one I reach for when I am getting dressed. There is something about them that as Angie said really "make the outfit." You will be seeing more of me in my pearls.:)

Re: dress - I like it with the jacket as well but I feel so-so in it without the denim jacket. I think I will reserve it for occasions when I need to out together a pulled-together but comfy and quick outfit for running to the store and such.

Re: jeans: Oh Angie, I am so happy to hear that you think they look good on me. They are not premium jeans by any means. They are actually pretty affordable ( I got them on sale) but I thought they looked good on me.I am happy to see my instincts confirmed. I still treat them as premium jeans- wash them at low temperature, air dry, etc. and I will duplicate in the winter when NY&Co has more of this style in store.

Maya and Lena - Thanks for the tips on price adjustment. I was just a few days over the 14 days limit. Oh well, I feel like I've already gotten my money's worth so all is well.

Aha! Bella saw the pearl light! There is no substitute for a chunky pearl necklace. The effect is simply magical if you fancy the aesthetic. I have SO MANY chunky pearl necklaces – both real and costume. Have been collecting for years in various shades of white and cream and size of chunkiness. (Kendal Farr is a huge fan too and mentions chunky pearls in her new book). I’m chuffed you’ve adapted the look too :0). Cheers to us pearl gals!

Great week! I loved the pink and green outfit.

I tried on the blue-patterned dress from Target too, but there was just something about it that didn't click for me so I returned it. I may have to get that ON jacket, especially now that it's on sale! I got it in white and love it, and I got a dark one from Target that just doesn't seem to work. I think it's too cropped for my waist.

My favorite of the week is the red sundress. So chic and so summery!
