Baggy pleated pants - opinions needed

I got these as a present and I'm wondering if they're in any way wearable or if they should become loungewear. They're navy cotton twill and very baggy on me. Plus there are pleats in the front. The fit is definitely a bit off, the crotch area looks strange in the pictures. It's not as visible IRL though, I overexposed the pictures so you could see more details.

What do you think? Would you wear these out the door? If yes, how would you style them? I'm going to keep them for around the flat in any case, so please be honest.

(I also thought I might cut them off in spring.)

I can't see the black too well on my monitor, but from what i can see I'd totally wear them! Just as you have them here

I recently bought a black pair of baggy pleated pants They are a total '80's throw-back and I adore them. Even DH noticed the '80's vibe and liked them! While I cannot see the details you mentioned in your photos, I find the silhouette of these very flattering on you, and I think they look great.

They have a definite 80's vibe about them and i think with a slightly sleeker shoe they would be rockin! They look good though, and that's a lot from me who banned pleated pants from her wider hipped wardrobe you totally carry them off great

Does it feel or look (IRL) strange or constricted in the crotch? If so, I don't know that I would actually wear them. If not, they look good, especially how you have styled them. I think front pleats are back in style on trousers.

Thanks PalmFronds. I don't have many shoe options right now, but I do need to shop for some new ones. Bonus point with these booties is that you don't see that the pants are too long - I'd need to hem them before I could wear them with other shoes.

Thanks Rabbit. They aren't constricting at all, if anything there's too much fabric I would say. Definitely drop crotch pants the way they sit on my hips.

When I saw baggy and pleated in the title I have to admit I was having visions of ugly khaki pleated 90s pants, but these are fab. I agree with Angie and the others, they are def a keep and wear out of the house item!

I was also expecting the worst, but they certainly look great in the photos. I love the way they are slouching at the ankles, with your boots.

I like them, I think they actually look quite modern and current. I don't see any issues with the crotch fit, so as long as it feels fine I think you are good to go.

They're kind of a soft cotton fabric. Maybe not the best for winter, but very comfortable. Although they're not summer pants either, so they are wearable right now.
