I got back this morning after an AMAZING vacation in Krabi, Thailand. And while I had a complete ball, sadly I didn't manage to take many pictures. I'm not one of those people who always have their phones handy at the right moment (uhmm....I roamed around in swimsuit with a beach cover-up all day and left my phone behind in the room most of the time) so no pics of the amazing food or all the amazing islands I saw. Too bad....I know. But I do have *some*!

Instead I lived in the moment and really enjoyed the experience....and didn't want to mar it by having to worry about "where do I leave my phone now". I wore my swimsuit under shorts & tees or dresses all day and jumped into the water every chance I got!!!

What I Did:

We reached Krabi on a rainy morning. By the time we checked-in, our bags (and us) had soaked through! #1 is the view from my balcony....really serene & gorgeous.

The resort itself was beautiful. Built around a lagoon, it had 3 swimming pools and we made full use of them. The bfast was delicious everyday and believe me when I say - I HOGGED on the trip! I've added all images I managed to click.

While this is officially rainy season, it doesn't rain cats & dogs all day. It pours hard for about 10-15 mins and then becomes sunny soon afterwards. Yet it's not oppressively hot or humid. Quite pleasant weather, on the contrary.

We spent most of our time swimming in tr ocean, chilling on the beach, or swimming in the pools. Our resort had an amazing location - walk out the entrance and you're directly on the main road leading to the beach (there was a back entry directly to the beach too). The road has everything I could want & more.....amazing street shopping stores, lovely restaurants & abundant massage parlors. I did get a full body massage...so relaxing. Followed by foot massage with reflexology next day. Totally worth it! (And am amazing way to chill out when it was raining).

We did Island hopping on 2 afternoons. Went to see 6 beautiful islands off the shore of Krabi, including Koh Phi Phi, by longtail boats that are so much fun! A paradise for snorkeling, diving & kayaking, I must say.

I really enjoyed the food. Didn't repeat any restaurants in the 5 days we were there. And drank too much Thai beer (as the pictures will tell you!) Also enjoyed many cocktails served in cute bamboo tumblers sitting on the beach (most bars serve cocktails to go at 100Bahts or roughly $4) ((see image #20; I brought one back as a souvenir))

What I Bought:

I shopped quite a bit! To begin with, I got 2 beach coverups....both quite lovely. And both were worn right away! And 2 new sunhats. I noticed that people wear hats in Thailand all the time...whether it's raining or its night! It's part of their style and many women were wearing hats at the airport even at night. I made the most of this and loved my hats!

I bought a Michael Kors tote and sling bag. And a Burberry wallet. I also indulged in a Thai print canvas duffle bag with a matching clutch (so much more convenient to use when you're going from lunch/dinner to beach and don't want the nicer clutch to get soaked.....considering that it rained everyday).

I got souvenirs for all friends & family too Whatever money was left was promptly converted into $ yesterday morning and we splurged that on duty-free shopping. I came home with 2 perfumes I love - Marc Jacob Daisy Eau So Fresh & CK Eternity Now (surprisingly amazing scent) that I got on huge discount! Yay for that!! I also got some wine and a bottle of Baileys Irish Cream.

Here are some pics attached! My husband is already on his flight to the UK. I'll try to click photos of the new buys this week!
