Attempt at straight leg jeans

I ordered the Tahari straight leg jeans from Nordstrom and got them today.

They fit wonderfully, comfortable, stretchy and nice length. Here's the thing...I'm not sure they're really what I've been looking for as far as the leg opening. The jean leg is straight all the way down, I've measured. The only problem is the opening is 16".

I love how these jeans fit you, I think the fit is perfect! I think it is you that has to decide if the leg opening is what you want/need or not. But they certainly look pretty darn good on

Thanks, Tanya. I really like them, I'm just concerned that I won't be able to have the versatility of a straight leg pair of jeans with this pair. Do you think it requires PPL or can I wear heels with this pair?

Hmm, that's a tough question. Could you try them on with some heels you have and post a photo? That way we could say of the opening is wide enough to fall nicely over the shoe- that would require PPL. If it's not wide enough, than you're lucky- it can go with everything!

Those look fantastic! I've been looking for jeans that fit me like that for months. I think they'd look great with heels.

Awesome Dani - quite by coincidence I too found skinnies with a higher rise that fit me yesterday. We'll have to virtually strut about town at the same time in our respective skinnies!

Dani, the fit of the jeans looks great. I'm really curious about Angie's answer because my experience is that 16" is awkward for heels. However, you are very tall and that may make a difference. Still, my guess is that PPL for these is to the floor. On the other hand if you only have one pair of heels and are already very tall, maybe you just enjoy these with flats which you wear most often?

Hmm, to me it looks that the leg opening is not wide enough for them to actually go to the floor, but I could be wrong...

Yeah, even though the opening is 16" they still look like they have smaller leg openings. Are you sure the opening is 16"?

I would tend toward PPL, but I really don't know. I'm interested to find out what the consensus will be, too.

They scrunch so the length you have is great. The hems wouldn’t touch the floor with heels if they were longer. At least that’s what I can gather from the picture? They look like 14 inch widths to me. I think the others had the same impression. They look fab! Does that make sense to you?

THANK YOU! I'm so happy *chair dancing*! I really wanted these to work because I like the way they fit and I really like the look of the straight legs. Now to find another pair that fits as well (NAS is out of these in my size )
