Do you think this sweater is versatile? I wonder about the round neckline, the short sleeves, and the banded hemline. It looks so good on the model but when I disect these things I wonder if it is really all wrong for real women.
Boy things at AT sure do sell out fast. I take a few days to think about something and when I go back online the color and size is sold out! I like this in the grey but they only have black in small now.

If I was in the area I would march you to AT to buy this piece. I could see you wearing it with skinnies, ponte pants, leggings, tunics, long sleeve t's and button downs. You have a great eye San don't under estimate your first instincts.

Sandy, in the past I have had good luck finding AT items in store. Also, don't forget about their phone service which will locate the item in a store and ship it to you.

You're sweet RoseandJoan. Thankyou for the compliment on my instincts. You are so correct in my second guessing myself.
Do you think it would be Ok for me in black? They only have the black left now in small. I fear this large amount of black is too severe for a woman of 55.
I do not know if a medium would fit me because I have never purchased from AT. I am buying this online.

I think it would be a good sweater for you, and black would not be a problem.

You are right, though, in that it would not be good for all body types; my personal hesitation for that sweater is the chunky texture. Because it's meant to be worn closed and form-fitting, the weight of the fabric would make it cling to my curves and lumps in a most unattractive way. I know from personal experience I can do loose and chunky, or I can do form-fitting and thin, but not form-fitting and chunky. But that is because I have curves and a wide dupa, which you do not.

Do you have an AT near you? I think you would like the store and their service, and it's worth it to be able to try things on and see what works for your shape and style.

Yes San, I could see you wearing this. It seems like it could be very flattering for your body type. I agree with Kristen that it's not for everyone, but for sure it could be for you!

Hi Kristen, I do not have an AT near me. I live in closer proximity to Tacoma, and the nearest AT's are in Seattle. I do go to Seattle sometimes, but if I want to run to the mall it would be in Tacoma.
I am also looking for this beauty. What do you think of this for a boyfriend style? Is it shaped nicely?

I am interested in the blue, and the grey. I have to be careful I do not get too much grey. I seem to be loving it this year. I am not a high contrast person, I guess.
I tell you, I should have done this when I first saw these sweaters because they were having a sale, buy one, get the second half off. I didn't realize I had to be quick about it.
Edit: Thanks Laura, I agree I do like the texture for added bulk. This is what happens when a gal has no curves!

Oooh, that's a lovely shape for a bf cardi. LOVE the blue and the grey! I have a heavier AT long cardi in heather brown that I still have the tags on but is about the same shaped. I love it, I am just worried the color washes me out.

Martin + Osa has beautiful long cardi's too; I got my grey one there and I love it. It so soft and silky!

San - I think that short sleeve cardigan would be beautiful on you! My only concern is that it has a high acrylic content, but I haven't seen it in person.

I also really like the BF cardi, saw it at the store and I am thinking about the colors. I like the purple and lighter blue... and grey, but I shouldn't overdose on grey. I think the darker blue would be terrific on you.

Sandy, we have this...in most sizes. Honestly ,I am not crazy about this one or how it fastens...pulls funny. I would try this on before you purchase if possible...but you can always return:)

It is also bulky looking on the clients who have tried it on. We have cuter grey short and long sleeved boyfriend cardis on sale now that look better on.:)

It goes with everything, with your pirate blouse, with a long sleeve dress, with skinnies and a long sleeve shirt.. you can use it with a belt or open.. go for it!

Oh, interesting Taylor. I should have known to ask you about it. It looks so pretty in the pictures. Well I can always return it. I ordered the long sleeve in the grey and the darker blue, perhaps those will be the ones that work best for me.

I tried on the bf cardi yesterday. It was too long and big on me, but I am betting it would work wonderfully on you. Size down though! And get the blue ...

Sandy, I find that AT runs big. Unless this particular sweater is very unusual for them, I think you would be swimming in a Medium.

I just got a pkg today from my Nordstrom adventure on Sunday. They had David Kahn jeans on the sale rack for $100 off. They are a trouser cut. I like all cuts of jeans so I'm happy to have this pair, and the waistline is just the right amount of high. They are called Thalia. I'll phtograph them with the sweaters from AT. I also ordered the denim skirt and the ponte knit skirt from AT, so I'll have plenty to phtograph. I also bought some belts, a scarf and some statements necklaces. I feel the accessories that I have been shying away from all these years are going to bring everything together.
I finally feel I have a working wardrobe! It takes time! I've been working with YLF for about 2 years, but I am a slow learner, don't catch on quick, or have much talent for design of body or home. I am interested in learning and that is where the fun comes in.

I have both skirts Sandy and several of the bf cardi's....you will be very happy I am sure. I get a special thrill when I see ylfers in AT:)
