Angie, I've been searching the blog posts to no avail so I thought I would ask you directly: what are your thoughts on white winter coats? I am in need of a long warm puffer this winter, and the white ones are really catching my eye. I know you lean more toward the cream, but I am afraid with my coloring the ivory/cream will wash me out more than a bright white. (I had a short white puffer through last winter and had no issues with keeping it clean.)

I am considering this one from Eddie Bauer; I had its twin in black last year and it saved me from a nasty cold winter in Chicago.

But Laura65 was talking about this Patagonia stunner in her thread and now I am unsure. I love the shape of it more, but I think the shade will wipe me out like a pencil eraser.
