Hi Angie -- In Runcarla's recent post http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ker-trends you mention that a Sneaker Hybrid is a style that is currently trending.

What exactly are Sneaker Hybrids? Inquiring minds want to know. Would you be willing to show us some examples (pics)? This would be very helpful. Thanking you in advance.

And if anyone else on the forum either owns or is purchasing this style, I would love to see what you picked.

These hybrid sneakers were the first Angie pick that I bought after joining YLF. I have gotten so many compliments, they wear really wear, and are super comfortable. I'd also love to see hybrids that other fabbers are wearing.

I think these Nike Roshe hybrids are super cool and fashion-forward, but alas, I am neither cool enough to wear them nor are they appropriate for my climate.

Thanks for the pics ladies. Seems to be the love child of a sneaker and a bootie. Does that make it a "Snootie"? Cute -- but a bit too much like "high tops" which make my feet look HUGE. But I can certainly see why they would be both fun and practical for a lot of you.

I was pleasantly surprised that the Timberlands don't make my feet look larger and I wear a 8 1/2 and am not quite 5'5" so you couldn't call my feet petite. Andrea - the Nike Roshe are super cool.

Bonnie -- Your Timberland hybrids are fabulous on you... and very versatile. And, yes, they do not make your feet look large. I may have to give hybrids a try. Perhaps a refined, less chunky version of a hybrid (more boot than sneaker) could work for my size 12 feet. I live in fear of the "boat" effect.

I like sneaker hybrids. I've had these Frye bootie/sneaker hybrids for a few years and really like them, but I don't wear much brown, so I usually end up passing them by for some of my black boots instead. I've thought of dyeing these.

Heehee, I like "snooties"! These would be best for cool weather for me, and I have a surfeit of casual winter shoes, so I can't indulge... but I love fun shoes like this and seeing how YLF'ers style them.

Haha I like the term snooties! That needs to be a thing. I never knew there was a thing called sneaker hybrids. I'm not really a fan of hightops so that might be why I didn't know though.

I always think of a sneaker hybrid as footwear that combines the aesthetic of a sneaker with another type of shoe, often in a different material than canvas, e.g. a bootie or an oxford.

Inge -- Now those are shoes I could totally embrace. I adore the silver ones. Thanks for sharing pics. Nice to know that hybrids are not necessarily high tops.

Janet -- The Frye hybrids are interesting. It might be worth seeing if they could be dyed. I am another one for whom brown footwear is of more limited use than black pieces.
