I would also love some colder weather suggestions - I feel so "put together" in Angies' flop-proof summer outfits and am having a hard time looking appropriately SAHM casual in a blazer and boots.

You and me both, Tanya! As an aside, but related to formulas, I saw a guy at school wearing a math club t-shirt, and it had an integral sign and said "Just du it" next to it, and I laughed.

I'm guessing the formula starts with the right footwear, coat, and hat, gloves, and scarf (HGS).

I just pulled out my fall/winter coats and hung them in my bedroom closet, next to scarfs - instead of the hall closet - so I could think about coat and boots FIRST, before coordinating a top/cardi to go underneath. It occurred to me this was not only time-saving but makes more sense for colder months.

There is an old British movie "Morgan" starring a young Vanessa Redgrave. In one scene she is shown waking up and looking a mess and then - without getting dressed or brushing her hair or even looking in a mirror - she pulls on some knee high leather boots, puts on an elegant coat and stuffs all her hair under a big fur hat. She goes from mess to tres elegant in less than a minute. I always think of that movie when I think of the importance of a good coat in a cold climate.
