Hi Angie, I'd love to hear your tips on wearing vintage jewelry! I enjoy wearing it & I'm trying to work it into my casual wardrobe of mostly jeans. I usually wear Native American turquoise or silver jewelry since that feels right with jeans, but I'm enjoying a little vintage bling & I could use some guidelines for wearing it. (And I guess my secondary question is how to wear glasses & vintage jewelry--I'm looking for a new pair of frames & I understand why you say only wear small earrings with glasses, because I agree otherwise it's easy for it to just look too busy, but I've got some chunky retro earrings I love & that I'd like to be able to wear with my glasses--any suggestions on selecting glasses I can do this with?) Some of my vintage jewelry I inherited from my Mom, so I have a sentimental attachment to it, & some I've collected. I'm new to the forum, but if I recall correctly, one of your general jewelry guidelines is go ahead & buy matching sets of jewelry if you like them but wear them individually or with other pieces rather than wearing the whole set together? Anyway, that's what I've been doing just from my gut feeling that I should probably wear one bold piece of vintage jewelry such as a brooch on my jean jacket or a bold bracelet or necklace or earrings, without any other jewelry except maybe simple earrings such as small studs or hoops. I appreciate any ideas you may have!
