Hi Angie, you mentioned the Steve Madden moto boots in Thistle's post. Steve Madden is something quite accessible for Canadian gals and I was wondering if you could point to which one you would recommend? Would it be the troopa?

Glory, I had Troopa boots and was not happy with the quality at all. The style was good but the quality was not there at all. They leak water like crazy, no slip-resistance at all which kind of defeats the purpose of "tough" casual boots to me - and the did not hold well. I feel they cost too mush for such quality.

Thanks for the info Sveta. I am looking to add a pair for the fall and would like the Borns but probably wont be able to find them here. I thought perhaps the Steve Maddens might be an option. Maybe the Frye combat. Last year Globo had a nice pair of Luca Fera but they only came in a tan suede.

I picked up the Brewzzer boots at this year's sale. Obviously I haven't put them through their paces yet and Sveta's experience might be telling but so far wearing them around the house they are really comfortable. I'm not committed to keeping them yet, because I have to decide between those some other boots I also bought (darn budget!).

Glory, Troopa were comfortable, they just did not hold up well. I thought maybe I got a bad one off item but reviews on the site shown I am not the only one.
Also I REALLY don't like the flat and slippery sole for our Canadian weather: too damn dangerous and really limits when you can wear the boots. If you get them I suggest get them to the cobbler to put better soles on.

I bought the steve madden troopa boots. I had the shoe shop add grips to the bottoms and i'm love them right now. its December and I can wear them here in Canada. I plan on wearing them a lot longer now with the new bottoms.

plus another steve madden boots that are calf length. the grips make a difference and I love them. super comfy and with quality leather - not like aldo pleather.
