Ask Angie or Zap - Soia & Kyo Puffer Sizing?

This coat is on Hautelook and I've been looking for a Black Puffer (since feeling left out in NYC in my Gray)

I saw Zap and Angie like this brand, but I don't know if I can trust their sizing. Should I go for an XL to have room for clothes underneath but will it be too puffy?

Older posts seem to say S&K fit smallish. The one on Haute is shinier than the one on S&K, but I don't mind that.
Or is this one better for me?

I have a wool coat from soiakyo, and it is a little on the smaller side of sizing. I prefer the look of the one in the second link, however it wouldn't be near as warm as the down filled one. Are you going more for style or warmth?

The sizing runs small - especially when you have to layer underneath. I vote size up. If you wear a Small at AT, you will probably need a Medium S&K coat. My size 12 client is in an XL.

The first link is my puffer! It is so warm, you will love it! Killer price too!

I find the brand to run on the smallish side, but this coat seems to be TTS to me.

The one I was wearing at the meetup is the size small.

I happened to own a small and a medium LOL, on this coat. The medium is no longer in use, since I lost some weight. I have saved it for my sister, who is trying to lose the baby weight. She had twins 6 months ago. If you want, I can take measurements on the medium and let you know, since it is the size Angie suggested for you.

If you are going for the look of the Guess one, I suggest this instead. I love Guess coats, but not their downs. They are not nearly as warm as they need to be:

I think this is MaryK's and Modgirl's down, in the Ivory color.... I might have bought this jacket cough...cough...
ETA: One word of caution regarding S&K. The coats and downs are cut very narrow at the back and shoulder. If you have an average or larger frame, you definitely need to size up. I have a very narrow frame that is why I might not need to do so.

S&K coats are gorgeous. But for sure, they're on the small side. They say so on their web site. They pride themselves on their trim fit, so you know it's going to be quite tailored.

Thanks - especially Zap (you looked great in yours!). I'm going to try the XL since I'm a 10-12 and want to be able to layer under it (and not need a breast reduction to do so) It's not a final sale (exchange) so I'm going to risk it.

I like the LE one a lot, but really want black this time.

Tears of sadness here. I had a Hautelook voucher for $50 and was so excited to finally find something I wanted with it. It expired last month. Ugh. It should be worth the $25 I paid for it, but I can't figure out how and nobody in CS will answer. I guess it's either fork over more than I had planned to spend or wait and realize it was not meant to be. It is gorgeous, but I really can't justify the extra $ for something I won't even be able to wear until next year.

If you are getting the coat for under $200.00 without considering the coupon, I think it is a great deal but it is up to you.

Oooh. Too bad...but I'm with Zap here. Their coats are so great and if it might work for next year it is a bargain even without the coupon. The coats are actually warm, unlike some puffers- as well as stylish.
