Ask Angie: Help me choose a color

I have an orphan skirt (I bought it before I read the last blog entry on the subject) that is white with large, pink flowers and some black. As a redhead, I try to avoid pink and white on the face and have absolutely no idea what color I can use instead. Black seems so "un-spring", but maybe I am wrong. Help!

It would be best if you could post a picture of the skirt and maybe with you wearing it.
I think pink looks good on redheads.

I can't take a picture, the link below is the closest I could find. Imagine pink in place of the yellow and its a pretty close match.

The skirt and black top and black shoes the model are wearing are adorable. I suppose if you lived in a hot climate you might wonder about wearing black in the summer, but here in WA state it is common.

Thanks for the advice, PA does not get too hot. I can't let my Grandmother see me wearing black in the summer, she'd "tsk, tsk" it!

I perosnally wear black in the summer, not as much as in the colder months, but I do.
Since you can't do white, pink or black, the only other option I could think of is a real color complimentary to your pink. How about a nice shade of blue or green 9depending on the exact shade of pink)?

Try kelly green. That could look real good with your red hair. (And it's definitely fine to wear black in summer. Look at all those great sleeveless black tops out there... You can always add a colorful shoe to add more of a spring feel. Yellow comes to mind...)
