I'm having to pass on my beloved Doc Marcie boots (pic #1). I have worn and loved these boots - they are hint to "urban" in my style. But alas that 4" heel just doesn't work for my knee anymore and I need to let them go.

Boots/booties are a huge part of my fall/winter style and I currently have:

  • red Sam Edelman ankle boots (pic #2)
  • beige suede Toms ankle boots (pic #3)
  • brown leather Naturalizer ankle boots (pic #4)
  • black patent Ara ankle boots (pic #5)
  • python Sam Edelman ankle boots (pic #6)
  • black Blondo knee high boots (pic #7)
  • cognac Hush Puppy knee high boots (pic #8)
  • blue suede Aerosole ankle boots (several years old - no pic)
I would like to replace my Doc Marcie boots with another pair of black boots, mid calf height, sleek but with a hint of urban/ruggedness. To wear with dresses/skirts and tights the same way I wore my Marcie's. But I'm stumped as to options.

Anyone care to help me with some choices? Parameters are: under $300, preferably available in Canada, work on a high volume foot with mid-wide width.
