Ask Angie and everyone: How would you style these shoes?!

I recently purchased these shoes on pretty deep discount after Angie posted them in her NAS half-yearly picks. I love the caramel color and the simple Euro vibe, and thought they would fill a hole in my shoe wardrobe. However, I realize I have no idea how to style them : ( and am wondering if I should therefore return them. I feel like I have a handful of shoe formulas:

knee boots + skinny jeans and pencil skirts and knee-length dresses
booties + skinny and bootcut jeans and "dress" pants
ballet flats + skinny jeans and skinny dress pants

low-heeled Mary Janes + ????

HELP! I have no idea! Thoughts?! (BTW - they are very comfortable)

I think this go mostly with skirts and dresses, and maybe brown slacks. You could try jeans, and depending in your bodyshape maybe you could make them work even with skinnies. They are not hard to style, promise! Lovely shoes

I love these shoes. Great color and style. I see them mostly with skirts and dresses too, but also with trousers and jeans. I don't think they'd be hard to work into most outfits.

I love the shoes! I think they should look great with skirts and dresses. In the spring, they might work almost as a nude shoe for you, which would be super convenient, because the straps will keep them better anchored than a ballet flat (or that's what I'd love about them).

They should be able to work with trousers, too, including jeans, assuming PPL. Skinnies would work for sure. You have some tops with a similar neutral shade that you could bookend with them.

ETA if they are Josef Siebel, Krishnidoux and I both wore our Josef Siebel ankle booties to the Toronto meet up and these were true 10 hour on your feet shoes for me (and I think also for her). I had NO foot issues after a very long day of walking and shopping and public transit.

I'm not a great advice giver for styling (since I'm still learning myself), but I just wanted to chime in and say these shoes really "look" like your style, Sarah. Nice choice.

Love the shoes! I think they could function as a nude pump (although colors are hard to tell on a monitor, and I am uncertain how close a shoe has to be to ones own skin tone to function as a nude).

They remind me of a pair of nude Fidgi's that Sveta has been sporting, that I've been coveting.

If you search Sveta and Fidgi, you'll find a bunch of posts with smashing outfits where she's worn them in all sorts of ways. I think they'd be very versatile....

I see them with trousers, or bootleg jeans, or skirts and dresses,maybe with textured tights or barelegged in the warmer weather. Once you start wearing them I'm sure you'll find they are quite versatile for you.

Suz - I appreciate your detailed answer. It actually helps me to imagine them on you. They are indeed Josef Seibel.

Isis - every time Sveta wears those shoes, I swoon. I think that I probably had them in my subconscious when I ordered these. They are not quite as neutral as hers, but hopefully could still function similarly. I looked back and saw that she wears hers a lot with skinnies.

Nancy - I'm glad you think that they look like 'me'. I thought so, too, but then I started second-guessing myself when I couldn't think of anything to wear them with ; ).

I considered those shoes too, Sarah. I love the caramel color, but when I got to Nordstroms they were a chocolate brown, darn! The SA told me the photo online wasn't accurate. I could see these as a very versatile shoe, skirts, dresses, slacks, jeans. Have fun!

These are great! Instead of thinking about outfits for them, maybe you should try putting together outfits you'd wear anyway, and then just sub in these shoes. I bet they go with more than you think. That's my backwards method for new shoes, and it has worked, at least with the b/w Doc Martens. I've found that with almost anything involving my black boots, I can substitute the Docs with ease.

I like the idea of them with jeans. I can see them with bare legs and dresses/skirts in warmer months; not sure about pairing them with tights (maybe a light gray would work?) but you should definitely experiment!
