Ask Angie and all: Blondo boot fit (Edited)

Sorry to post and run but these just got here and I'm wondering whether you think they fit. I'm posting unstyled photos but am more than happy to post some styled ones if you think these are worth pursuing. I'm showing them with a bare leg so you can see how they fit on top. Your opinions are most appreciated. Adding a few WIWs too and introducing Oreo. It's been a busy few weeks and I have been in gear for most of it. TIA!

I'm adding a few very quickly styled photos of my old Cole Haans and the Blondos. The CH are perfectly serviceable but I've tired of the slouch. CH are the first two in the styled set--the rest are Blondos. (I didn't put much effort into the styling due to time constraints and I also overexposed the photos so you could see the boots.) In looking at the photos side by side, I'm not sure there is much difference. What do you think? Thanks so much in advance for looking and commenting. I appreciate your input!

Unfortunately they are too long for you and that's why they gape on the top. Ankle fit is not bad but the length and gaping would be a deal breaker for me - sorry!
As usual you are the Queen of Stylish Casual looks! And Oreo is a delight!

Hmm, I either want them to be taller or shorter. I think the length here (halfway up your knee) is kind of awkward, neither an OTK or a regular tall boot.

Oreo is a cutie, and I love your casual looks! Are those burgundy moto boots??? Jealous!

Thanks, Sveta and Diana! I was hoping my initial thoughts were wrong but it looks like they really don't fit properly after all. The length in the back is fine. I can bend my knee without problem. For me, it's how they wing out on the sides in the front that is problematic. Back they go!

@Diana: I think the boots are suppose to be brown. I can't remember what they call this color but I was pleasantly surprised when I got them in the mail.

Your outfits are fantastic, Kelly. I love your boyfriend jeans and oxfords. I want to achieve that look! (My problem is that until mid- to late-summer I probably won't be rolling my jeans, because my ankles would get cold! But the roll is what makes the look.) I also love the second outfit with the short boots and that beautiful infinity scarf--those colors are luscious on you.
I agree that the Blondo boots are an in-between looking length.

Thanks, Firecracker! We had some nice weather for a spell so I was able to bare the ankles. It has been short lived though and I am back to full length pants!

Oreo is as sweet as she looks. She was an owner surrender--due to unresolved allergy issues (I think.) Unfortunately, she does not smell as sweet as she looks. It's been presciption baths every other day, ear cleaning, ointment application and TONS of laundry for this little girl. She is definitely feeling better now but I think it's going to continue for several more weeks before she is ready for her forever home. Poor thing.

These boots are supposed to be OTK, and the fit is good Lest see them styled, if you can manage that.

Kelly, FWIW they fit just like mine do and I love mine. The front isn't designed to fit tightly but just give the illusion of a true OTK boot. I like them on you...

Thanks, Angie and Dashielle! You are so helpful! The more I look at them, the more I like them. They are definitely more streamlined than the Cole Haans. The only thing that gave me pause was how the sides wing out a bit--they don't hug my leg. I'm going to try and play around with them this weekend with various bottoms and see how they work. I'm not 100% sure yet but it's such a relief to know that the fit is good! Thanks again!

Kelly, I want to confess: I thought the boots looked great, definitely keepers, until I read the other replies. Then I thought they were supposed to cover--as in, actually hide--the knee in front. I like the fit on your leg, and I didn't notice "winging" at the top. I also love both outfits with them--they can go classic or a little edgy!
