Great topic! I feel covered for all reasonably foreseeable events for my lifestyle, including the emergency invite to black-tie events where my law firm bought a table, which happens about once a year. Not so much if we were, say, invited on a ski trip, but since I haven't been on one for eighteen years, probably unlikely, and I can't see any events like that coming up without plenty of advance notice. Happy to hear that many of us are in a good place, at least for the events that are most likely to take us by surprise.

Being a hoarder of clothing and an overshopper comes in handy sometimes. It does however not stop me from trying to buy all new even if I have enough for a certain occasion. I am learning to be more patient and picky.
I went to Costco yesterday so I'm ready for almost anything else. Don't want to run out of tp at Thanksgiving!

My goal upon coming to YLF 5 years ago was to shore up my closet enough that I had many of these situations covered. Currently I'm good for job interviews, funerals, and many other situations (depending on the weather-- I just moved states, after all!). I'm getting much closer to feeling good about my everyday work look and hope to start working on casual wear and those once in a while things, like date night.
