This fall is my type of fall ! I won't do much shopping, simply because I don't need it, but this is a lesson for me in being patient because things you love will come around. It just seems that they are all coming at once. LOL

I am loving :

The vests
The reds and the berries
The menswear plaids
The nicer sports look

I'm loving!!!!
A lot of browns, dark oranges, erthy tones that suit me so well.
A lot of 70's inspired pieces, flares, vests, fringes.
A great selection of small and medium heels, pointy toes.
I'm on heaven!

Yes!! I love so much of it this year and for the first time in a long time I have both clear needs in my closet + steady work I can rely upon for extra income... That just leaves the pesky little detail of Berkeley tuition checks starting nov 1 for my DD. ~sighs~ Maybe I won't get everything I like, but I'll certainly get some of it. Can't wait! Jackets... Ankle boots... Blouses.... Sweaters.... Yum!

Isabel, that's great! And F/W is your dominant season so you can really have some fun with this. I'll be keeping my eye out for what you find. Wear some pretty dark reds for me. I've got dark red on my toes right now (in my sandals, lol). It's a long time before we get Fall weather here.

Claire, yes, it is my dominant season. And the one that I enjoy the most. Summer clothes are so tough to maintain because I am always washing them, they wear out so quickly ! I am going to "shop my closet" and put together a "core" wardrobe. : )

KK, I cannot believe that I forgot plaids ! I love plaids.

Rute, yes ! I know that you love the more 70;s look. Those flared jeans the other day looked gorgeous on you.

I always love Fall trends...definitely my favorite season. Even if a particular dominating trend doesn't appeal, the colors always get to me I too am loving the reds especially this year.

So far, I am liking it! Like rute, I am really enjoying the dark browns and rusts. I have been missing those in my closet for a long time.

I am also liking the midi-length skirts. Fall and winter are too cold for above-the-knee skirts, and maxi skirts can look dumpy on my short frame, so midi skirts are the answer! They don't make me look stumpy because I wear them with boots, and that seems to take care of the problem.

And LEATHER. Woo hoo.

Echoing what shedev said, and adding in chocolate brown!

Bummer my shopping budget is almost gone, but it seems to also be a good season so far for incorporating what I already have and selectively shopping secondhand.

I'm also loving plaids, especially those that have red in them.
Long vests (sleeveless coats?)
Dark reds, forest green
Interesting knitwear - J. Crew and BR both have a pullover with zippers on the side which will make for some nice layering options

Fall is one of my favorite seasons but this fall's trends haven't grabbed me as much as the spring and summer trends this year had. That's ok; I need to watch my pennies anyway.

Dark red - don't mind it but shades like burgundy don't work on me
Sporty luxe - not my personality
Autumn shades in general don't work for my skin
Plaids - now this one I do like, and hope to find a top that I can pick up and wear (something a ittle nicer than the fifteen year old men's size flannel that I wear around the house as a cozy layer)

I love that I am still seeing lots of pointy toed shoes, slouchy fits and the deep reds/burgundies. Although I've not yet had luck finding a burgundy leather bootie that works for me.

Sporty is not a look that appeals to me. I do like some of the plaids I'm seeing and I've been tempted to add a plaid shirt. But I'm afraid that I won't wear it enough so I think I will just enjoy this trend on others.

Especially plaids, menswear, ankle pants, pointy toes, fluid fits, and sporty luxe -- that last being the one area I have branched out into this year. It's been really great adding some casual luxe elements to my style.
I like that I can incorporate some of the newer colors -- especially dark red, brown, and blush (the only pastel I really do) into my staple wardrobe of black, ink, grey, and white -- and look current without doing a major overhaul.

I'm glad this is a year for buying a new coat!

I am not near as excited about the fall trends as I was about the spring/summer trends earlier this year. The only thing that I've seen that seems to be different from the spring/summer trends are: the deep red colors (which I love if they have a cool undertone;) plaids - which I like as long as they aren't too lumber-jack looking; and brown (which I like for accessories.) But other than those three - what is different from what we had already seen earlier this year?????

I love all the brown! That is very exciting for me. I love the loose fitting jeans. BF jeans were made for me. I love flared jeans but I don't think I will get a pair. Not many places for me to wear them. I love plaid and chunky sweaters. And booties! Best footwear ever.

Let's see...brown, any form or color, leather...drool...boots..flat heel..rich wine red...call it merlot or burgundy...over-sized...I am so into fall..Maybe because I just love the season..favorite season..favorite holiday..Thanksgiving..I read Marley's comment on liking spring/summer fashions this year..Perhaps I am just biased over fall and am not really into spring, summer as much...Point to ponder...
