Are leggings work appropriate?

I work in television production, which is a very casual environment and jeans are completely appropriate. I am considering wearing a dress over leggings to work but am not sure if this look is acceptable for work?

It seems like a casual environment where jeans are acceptable would be fine for leggings with a dress. I think you look great-and nicer even than a jeans outfit.

I work in school based childcare which is smart casual but no jeans and i frequently wear leggings. I wear them with skirts and dresses but still ensuring the length is no higher than just above the knee to keep it work appropriate.

I agree with Sinead and Louise, MC, if you can wear jeans and sleeveless dresses and tops and the environment is casual, then I don't think leggings will be a problem. I love that whole outfit by the way!!

Agree with the other posters. I think this is dressier than casual jeans and perfect for casual work environment. I work in an office and I wear my leggings frequently under dresses and tunics.

your office dress code sounds much like mine (online marketing, holla!), so yes, i'd say leggings and a dress are totally appropriate, and in fact, probably a little dressier than jeans! so rock that outfit, hon, it looks great on you.
