Finding the items you need at the right price

Anyone own this JCrew top?

I just ordered it. Never done final sale before but it's a beautiful top for a decent price. But I am nervous about the size. Does their stuff run small or anything?

Ana is probably up to her eyeballs in math tests...she's been MIA for a while now. Sarah is our other JCrewette.

Thanks Nicole... I have been told you and I have a similar look, what do you think about the top? I don't have anything like it, but I love how it looks on the model and I have been looking to inject for jewel toned tops into my wardrobe.

It's a gorgeous top and the price can't be beat. I find J Crew runs pretty true to size, or maybe a tiny bit big. If you have anything from Banana Republic, I think they're comparable.

I think that Maya is right, if anything their tops can run a bit big. They had a few this summer, one was 'Catherine', in which I was swimming even in XS. But some other ones were TTS. That top is gorgeous!

Oh thank goodness!! Thanks girls! I am usually a 10/12 or s/m in tops depending on the store. I ordered a 10, so that should be good I hope.

I agree, the tops do run a bit large. It depends on the cut though, but in my experience you should be okay. I started wearing size 6 tops at JCrew while I still wore 8s elsewhere. This top looks voluminous so you should be fine. If for some reason the waist area fits a bit large, you could always try belting it.
Good luck!

I have that exact top in my shopping cart at JCrew, along with a yellow taffeta skirt that's $29 or something. Maybe we will be shirt twins!

Yay! I love when someone here has an identical item, so I can get ideas about how they wear it.

I love that shade of fuschia - please post a picture of the top when you get it. I actually have the opposite problem with J Crew. I used to wear ALOT of J Crew in college back when they just made roll neck sweaters, chinos and henleys! And though I love their recent collections so much more, I have a hard time fitting into their tops. I guess it's an inverted triangle thing - I often find them much too tight in the bust, shoulders and arms. That's why I steer clear of their final sale unless I've already tried on the item and know my size.
