Anyone else stalking sold out NAS items?

My online NAS orders took about 10 days to come and now several pieces are sold out in the colors and sizes I want. I'm a little bummed and am constantly refreshing the website to see if there are any popbacks. Anyone else in the same situation?

I know I am fortunate in life if these are my problems but I thought I would see if there are other YLFers doing the same thing.

Also, if you happen to see the Karen Kane tunic below in a Large Blue, let me know!

I am. I am stocking a pair of slacks.

The Nordstrom person told me that the store only puts a limited quantity aside for the sale. When those items are sold out, they are gone. She said to keep the items that didn't work out for me and then exchange them after August 5 when Nordstroms restocks. By keeping the item purchased on sale, I will be assured of getting the sale price. Makes sense.

I always do. Popbacks happen with frequency, but you do have to check back often.

I liked the style of the green flared utility jacket, but said I didn't need any olive in my wardrobe and it's only for casual, then got the fever to try it, but it was sold out. Same for some footwear.

Sure am! My ambivalence has come back to bite me - and now the items that I had stuck in my shopping bag are all sold out - but, because I was ambivalent about shopping this sale anyway it isn't really breaking my heart!

Yes of course! I had finally resolved to spend $$ on the Rag and Bone BF jeans and when I went back to my cart they are not available in my size. Probably for the best but once you remove the actuality it makes them even more desirable for me.

Good to hear that I'm not alone!

Suz, nordstrom used to allow you to enter your email to get notifications on sold out items. Not sure why they got rid of that feature, i found it really useful and even got a highly coveted item which I had lost hope on. They should bring that back and perhaps have a text version too. It would be a win-win, they would delight the customer AND sell product faster. Also, they could build a more intimate customer relationship.

Ok, time to take off my Product Manager hat and go refresh the page

I was able to enter my email to get notified if/when my size comes back in stock on a skirt that was available in multiple sizes except the one I want. Maybe it just doesn't let you enter your email if all the sizes are completely sold out? I find it annoying that if an item is available in other sizes, that you can't put it on your wish list in your size, only the size that is available. So then you never know if the size you want is in stock unless you keep visiting that item page. It would be nice to have a wish list or shopping cart that is set up with the right sizes and you could pounce if you see them available.

I usually try to add all items I am contemplating ( in several possible sizes) to my wish list early on, while they are available. This makes it easier to track availability later.

Every size and color combo except the one I want has popped back into stock. I'm still holding out hope but I am getting sick of hitting refresh on my screen. I might give up pretty soon.

I made the mistake of going into the store. See my post on sizing of one item (Angie pick Trina Turk coat). It's interesting what's happening with the sizing and availability on that item. Maybe since you are stalking too you can weigh in on what you've seen happen with your items?

Anyway, I guess going to the store wasn't really a mistake. I had just held off ordering anything pricey - then this week when I was close to a store I went in and found that I love the pricey item I was trying not to buy. That now costs $100 more. So maybe this not buying stuff doesn't always pay off.

I did see a couple of things that were on my list and I was able to eliminate based on seeing in person so I guess not all is lost.

Darn trip to the store... Haha

I was asked by the website about some items if I wished to be informed when it was back in stock. Whereas, other items did not give me that option.

I've been trying to get a pair of these Paige plaid denim jeans. It was a total wipeout in-store. After talking to customer service, I ordered two-sizes up which proved too large. So I returned those and I've a new pair at my size to try on. Package came yesterday...
