Any one else waiting for September magazines?

The September and march issues have always been my favorites and I impatiently wait for them. But, September is my all time favorite. I remember my teen years in the 60's devouring Glamour. I do not know why the other mags did not catch my attention then but in my 20's I was a regular purchaser of Vogue. How about you?

Oh! Yes! Years and years out of school, but I feel like things start anew in September. That big fat magazine full of F/W inspiration and a new day-timer are mandatory come September.

Huge nostalgia for fat fall fashion mags. Love the autumnal color palettes, woolens, tweeds and plaids. Fall shoes. I think in part because quality fabric and construction are easier to appreciate in fall and winter goods, even though may exist in summery items too. Luxuriousness. Happy memories of back to school shopping with my mom also.

yes…..i used to love the september issue of Seventeen….it would usually come just before i left for summer camp, and i'd spent rest hours in my bunk drooling over the pages and planning my 1st week back at school. Now i save the September issue of InStyle for my week at the beach.

Are you kidding ! I live for mid-August when they start hitting the newsstands. I love buying the huge pile all at once (or in two groups depending on when they are out) and hauling them home like school books. I am a magazine devotee from waaaaay back, and will always thrill over the feel of a big fat fall fashion issue. I even love the ads One of the instagrammers I follow (she's actually a VP at Holt Renfrew ) started a little betting pool of sorts for who was going to be on each cover - especially American Vogue. She thinks it'll be Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner

Yes! I rarely read magazines unless I'm traveling, but I always look forward to the fall issues.

I love the September magazines too, but to be honest I had forgotten all about them until you just reminded me. Too busy "summering" I guess.

Yes! I love the fall issues the most. I am a huge magazine reader, especially fashion mags and cooking mags.

OMG the fall fashion issues were such an event when I was a kid! We always had Vogue come in the mail; Harper's too, most years (anybody remember?). We used to drive us downtown to the BIG newsstand to get the British Vogue and a multi-lingual magazine called Elegance; just 'happened' to pick up a few others: incredible fun! I think I only read my mother's magazines; I can barely recall Seventeen and Glamour from back in the day.

Can we ordinary joes get the industry mags? (Firecracker, Diane, other makers, I'm looking at you!) Sketches, swatches, so cool! Are they still published even?

But yes, August / September is the only reason I don't have electronic subscriptions!

I've finally given up on subscriptions for the most part but you bet I will pick up at least one fall fashion edition. I like to buy mine at Walgreens-- ours still has a big wall where you can flip through and make a selection or two. As a teen I loved Instyle, and then Lucky-- I mourn the Lucky that used to exist where most of the items featured the average consumer could actually purchase!

Now I just have two subscriptions that I get for free because I occasionally will do an online survey or review-- a cooking mag and a women's fitness mag (which my SO mainly reads-- it is hilarious to see him sit down with a pink "SHAPE").
