Any "Must Haves" from Nordstrom for me?

My husband's going down to the states to visit family in a few weeks.

I plan to make an order from Nordstrom's for him to bring back. So far, I aim to order the Vince Camuto tube midi skirt, a Nexx shirt, the Angie-recommended challis scarf.

Any other thoughts on what I should consider?

My NEEDS include bras, but sadly, Nordstrom's doesn't carry my size, so I'll be ordering those elsewhere.

I could also use some really good layering Ts - mine are old Land's End Canvas and not in great shape.

I also need more boots but I worry about sizing if I've never tried them on.

A bag - it should be larger than my current cross body, but it does need to be a crossbody or shoulder style. It can't be red because much as I love red, my winter coat is red.

I have been thinking about the Gibson jacket, but I wanted the wine colour, not black. So that's out now.

Shannon, I'm going to get it in ink blue but also in cobalt, which is on sale. Based on Nancylee's recommendation, I think I'll really enjoy it (assuming it fits, that is).

My DH is going to Chicago and I have been thinking about doing this(guess I will have to book him a hotel near a Nordstroms....)

I know it is not the same thing in terms of cut but have seen some burgundy blazers at RW&Co.And they are going to start selling online.

Need a very casual travel coat? How about this one (gear-ish, but looks slightly better than the usual 'gear' type anorak to my eye, and a pretty good price on this one, imo):

How 'bout this jacket - would be one of those things that might totally elevate your entire wardrobe (so would the jacket in #2)...not 100% sure, but I love the idea and colour for you - might be better with a collar instead of without, but throwing it in here as an 'idea' just for fun. I can see you in a cream leather jacket or a cream trench a la Angie.

Ok - this bag is black, but it's not basic or boring at all - also comes in a fab eggplant colour. Was one of Angie's NAS picks and happens to be on sale again for 50% off. This will fit, no matter what, but I'm not 100% certain of the style for you. I have a preference for the eggplant colour, but with a red coat....no. Would have to be black in this particular handbag. Again, it's certainly not the boring, basic black handbag though...worth considering if you like the style.

Speaking of bags, did you want another cross-body bag? While the colours in these wouldn't necessarily work with your red winter coat, I will say that I think the Perlina brand is very nice quality, and these are on sale for about half-off. In my opinion Perlina is a great deal for a handbag to begin with - very high quality for the original price, let alone the sale price. Taupe or blue might round out your casual capsule nicely. Good for running errands and so on. I don't have this bag, but I'm putting it on my list immediately. I had a Perlina bag once before and loved it.

Ok that was fun! I love shopping for others... I'm not sure any of these are a "must have" but just from a quick look through my wish list and a brief glance around at what was on sale (or not, as the case of the olive jacket), these are things I might pick for you. No, there's no coherence to it...but I think most of these things would look great on you, and there are a couple of 'useful/practical' items thrown into the mix (travel coat, taupe oxfords, blue cross body bag) as well.

Wowowowow!! You are the best! Look at this amazing shopping you have been doing for me! I love so many of these choices.

Una, I'm TOTALLY focused on that navy jacket. That is sensational. I have to think about whether I can justify the expense (when we're about to go on a big family trip to China). I don't think so...yet...but WOW. That is gorgeous. I love the others, too, but that one is so amazing and so perfect I can't see straight.

Do you know much about the sizing (she says, innocently, pretending to herself she is not getting serious). The reviewer says it fits snug in the shoulders. I suspect I might be between sizes. Which could be tricky.

Another question...let's just say I WERE to buy this jacket. How long would I have to do an in-store return if it didn't fit me properly?

VC - those were AMAZING choices,. Thank you for taking so much time on that! You are so generous. And so smart. Because you know what? I had already put a couple of those items in my bag, including the sweater!

Question - should I go for the teal or the purple? I like both and think I can wear both. So it is a question of which would be most versatile for me, I guess.

Zap, I hope I won't find that skirt too body con for me. I LOVE the one you linked to...but given my work life (at home) I feel as if it's too big a splurge for something that would rarely get worn. Sometimes working at home has its disadvantages.
