any advice on premium jeans brand for rectangle?

Hi everyone,
I am thinking about taking the plunge into premium jean land and wondered where to start. I think most of you are familiar with my body type. I am thinking a dark wash bootcut would be the most versatile and I am not sure if I should go with hemming for flats or heels. I am only thinking of investing in one pair and wanted to get some tips before I try on a zillion pairs.

I had good luck going to Nordstrom and asking the saleswoman in jeans for suggestions.

I wound up with two pairs, one from David Kahn and one from Kut from the Kloth, that are both dark wash & bootcut. Both pair I got also have a medium/high rise. I know that David Kahns have been recommended here for curvy women, but they also fit my rectangular frame quite well.

Yes, I would recommend Nordstrom or some place where you could try on several different brands. Patience is a rectangle as well, and she seems to have had good luck with several different brands. I think she likes J. Brand and COH (but she can correct me if I'm wrong).

GG, I have a pair of J Brand midrise bootcuts that I really like. I recently tried a bunch of bootcuts at Nordstrom just to have an idea and I liked the fit of 7s the best. I think rectangles come in different shapes and you probably will still have to try on a zillion, but Nordstrom sales people are quite helpful about finding the fit. For example they brought me a Paige pair that fit very well, they had higher rise than usual. Good luck!
