Ana Outfits Week of 7/26

Hi Everyone!

I got my husband to take photos of my outfits this week. I know you like links to whole albums, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet without giving access to all my photos. Anyway, Here they are:

The outfit with the yellow scarf is what I call my "Shiny Pose." :D I also got a haircut near the end of the week since it was getting so long and driving me crazy. It's a bit too short, but will grow out in a week or so and be just right.

Thanks everyone!

Ana, you look incredible the whole week! all of them are killer :) I missed seeing your outfits so much!

Are those pretty wedges in photo #2 Cole Haan Air Elly ( I have been thinking about them forveer and haven't settled on a color yet)? How comfy are they? And where did you get that amazing grey tunic from #3, I feel like stealing it from you?

Are you serious?? I can hardly take all this in ... each outfit is better than the one before it. I am completely dying over the dark grey tunic over white skinnies. Oh!!!! And the last dress!! And that delicate cream blouse. And that gold bracelet in the first couple of photos. Oh, and the orange-red pants. Whew!!

Off to get an iced tea now. This is all so fantastic, I'm feeling a little dizzy :)

And Ana is back……….I’ve gone to make myself a cuppa. Your style is too hot for me to handle right now. I need to recover. Excuse me while I LAUNCH INTO ORBIT!

Ana and Tanya are back! Wohoooo!!! No wonder Laura and Angie took off, I'm also reaching for a cup of tea. :D

And as always, I can not pick a favorite! The tunic and yellow scarf outfit silhouette is new and looks so good on you, Ana. Grey! yellow! white! I remember when Angie blogged about this color combo, and it's so good to have another FAB example.

I can't get enough of the red pants outfit. Are these jeans? Pants? Jcrew?

I gotta say how nice it is to see you posting your outfits again Ana. It is so nice to have you and Tanya back posting again.
I LOVE those red pants and the whole outfit in that picture.
I didn't think your hair was too short. I thought short and pixie cut was the Ana cut.

I love the gray, yellow and white color combo- so fresh!

It is great to see you post again Ana. It is hard to pick a favorite, a very close call between Monday and Wednesday but I will go with Wednesday.:)

Wow, thank you so much everyone! I really appreciate the comments. :D

Tanya, the shoes are Me Too:

They are very comfortable. The toe hole rubbed on my big toe a little when I first got them, but it wasn't too bad, and it's gotten better the more I wear them. And I walk in them a lot. I would recommend them. I want to get them in gold and beige as well. I like the Air Elly's too.

The grey tunic is from Urban Outfitters. They were having a huge sale! You should check it out, I think the tunic was $14.00. :D

I was going to ask if those were Me toos. I have seen them before and wondered, but they probably wouldn't work for me. They look great on you.

Those crazy orange/red pants in the first picture are killer! EVERYTHING is killer but I'm especially fond of those because I just haven't seen too many people on the forum embrace colored pants.

Thanks Maya! I really like them because they are so bright and kind of crazy! When I first got them I couldn't figure out how I would wear them exactly, but then I started getting lots of ideas. :D

Lena, I forgot to answer your question. They are from J. Crew. They are called the "Bistro" Pant:

They are no longer available in that color, but I really like the dark pewter grey color.

Ana,
You are a style guru!! you wear what suits you so well. I love your choice of color and your spunk. I do not think anyone could wear those red pants as well as you do!!
such fun posts!!
I posted this on another thread in Where to Shop but if you do not see that-this leather jacket is gorgeous:

hi Ana, I love your style, everything is beautiful. My faves are #1 the red pants and #4 with the delicate white blouse. Where did you get the white blouse? It is so pretty on you. I tried on your yellow shoes at Nordstrom awhile back and thought - how would I wear yellow shoes? Now, I know the answer!
Thanks!

Ana - so nice ot see your post with pix again. Absolutely superb in each and every article. I love your gold bracelet and yellow shoes the most. But it's hard to really choose a favorite - everything else is such a close second. You are SO cute and uber stylish. And you make it all look so easy.

I love your shiny pose (of course!). The Me-Too's look interesting, I'd never seen that style. I love how you push your jean jacket sleeves up to your elbows - that one tiny detail really stuck out for me right away. I will have to give that a try. I have a skirt in the same shade red as your pants! It is a fun color but I get shy about wearing it. You're giving me more confidence.

But I think my favorite is the last one - the dress. It's beautiful, and I love the soft pink scarf with it.

Ana, I love it when you post. You are such an inspiration. I can't pick a favorite, though I really love number four. I think that's because I'm intrigued by that sleeve and am trying to learn to wear them myself. You make it look so effortless.

And I love your hair! Love, love, love!

I’ve recovered.

Outfits #1 and #3 are KILLER and my faves. And I’m loving the return of the blonde hair! You are almost there with the perfect colour.

What I love best about Ana’s style is that there is never too much going on at once, and that the lines that she chooses are strong and clean-cut. Her style is bold, but simple – that’s what gives Ana a sophisticated sense of style, plus the fact that Ana is impeccably polished and carries herself well. Love your style, Ana :0)

I've been admiring your outfits since last night. I *love* your style. I want to dress like you. :)

Ana, you are such an inspiration. I love how you remix items in your wardrobe and transform them into something entirely different with each outfit. My favourites are the same as Angie's - #1 and #3. I hope you will not mind if I add them to my lookbook?

Posted 3 months ago

Tanya, it's great to see your posts again! Love it all but #3 is beyond fab.

Thank you so much for all the compliments, everyone! You've all really made my day! :)

Fathenry, I got the cream blouse at Banana Republic on sale a couple of months ago. They might still have a few left, I think I saw some there as recently as a few weeks ago, but I haven't been back there in a bit. It's worth checking out, though.

Shiny, you HAVE to wear the skirt! I really want to see it, plus you have such a bright bold personality, you could definitely pull it off! :D I always push my sleeves up because I like how it looks better than when they are long or rolled up just a little (probably because I have short/average arms).

Vani, yes, you are definitely welcome to add them to your lookbook (I keep one too).

Marianna, Jean, Sihaya Alecia, Joy, Angie (and everyone else), thank you very much, I'm so, so flattered! :D

Ana, I don't have anything eloquent to add (mommy brain!) except that every single outfit is amazing. It's SO great to have you posting outfits again!

I was wondering how in the world you get your bangs to stay in place, so nicely sideswept. What's your secret?

Posted 3 months ago

Thanks Brianna!

I had to train my bangs to stay that way, since they didn't want to at first. I use mousse when my hair is wet, and then I blowdry them the same way everyday, which is to blowdry them first to one side, and then finish them to the other side I want (I think this makes the biggest difference). After they are dry, they're usually kind of curly, so I use a texturizing cream just on my bangs and on my "sideburns" since it makes them a bit stiffer and helps keep them in place. Then I use a mini straightening iron on them, and I "iron" them in a sideweeping motion at the bottom so they aren't totally straight and stick out. The whole process takes about 5 minutes. If it's a windy day, I have to kind of fix them with my hands when I go inside.

Bobby cuts them in such a way that it makes it easier, too. He cuts them at an angle, so the bangs at the part are shorter, and then gradually longer and then shorter again at the side they are being swept towards (he kind of carves them out). Does that make sense?

Ana I love all these looks!! My faves are the first with those fab red pants, and the one with the yellow scarf. That colour makes your skin glow!!!

Posted 3 months ago

Thanks, Ana! It sounds like quite a process but if it only takes a couple of minutes, it's definitely worth it--your hair always looks so great and adds so much to your style.

Posted 3 months ago

I love everything, including the instructions on taming your fringe. Maybe something like that would work for me. I guess I got to see the yellow scarf outfit in person! Like Sarah, I especially like the red pants.

Posted 3 months ago

You are a model Ana!!! Everything is perfect, from the individual pieces you pick (and always look incredibly flattering on you) to the outfits you create with them, to the accessories (love that bracelet). I could copy Angie's reply literally, and I can't say it more eloquently than she did.

I'm SO glad you are posting more regularly again. I know you are an inspiration to many of us.

(And I'm trying to figure out a way to steal that yellow scarf without you noticing;-)

RED PANTS! i just died a little. i love a good colored pant (on someone else... can't for the life of me figure out how to make them work on me).
