Amsterdam and Rotterdam September 2017!

I'm working on travel plans for a trip to Amsterdam and Rotterdam in September 2017. I have a race (sprint distance triathlon on the 17th, but some team Canada activities earlier so some commitments. However, DH and I will stay a bit longer -

I KNOW that I will be in Rotterdam 12-17 September, and Amsterdam 18-21 or 22. DH wants to go to Bruges for a day.

Anyone with any ideas on where to go, where to stay, what to eat - please chime in. Any Fabbers who want to meet up?

Hi Runcarla...I'd love to meet up. id love to join you and other fabbers for a day or overnight wherever suits you. Whatever is easiest.

Bruges is gorgeous, wonderful historic buildings btw.

My husband and I are considering Amsterdam in September! We have a niece who is working as a nanny there for a year and I've always wanted to go so this seems like a good time. I will be following the advice you get!

I'm just fishing for advice and ideas - so no worries! I HAVE booked my hotel in Rotterdam though. The team hotel is a ship! The SS Rotterdam! 12-17 Sept.

I'm thinking we will need a pied-a-terre in Amsterdam for 18-21 or 22.

Definitely up for a YLF get together!

Amsterdam is really wonderful. We were there a little over a year ago and loved it. If you're a museum person, the Rijksmuseum is newly restored and amazing, and the Van Gogh museum is a can't miss. We also really love seeing Anne Frank's house. Sobering but surprisingly uplifting as well.
