I haven't been to the NAS yet. I feel like I am totally missing out. It's hard for me to think ahead to winter when I'm so excited about finally wearing warmer weather stuff. I do want to check out the boot selection, I'm hoping to go tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Do not feel badly, I've returned all but one skirt, kids' socks, and a pair of tights. I found equivalent items (at the Rack) for everything I had bought for a lot less. Good luck if you score, but don't despair if you do not.

That makes me feel better Jjsloane. Last year the few things I purchased didn't get a whole lot of wear, so I wasn't as motivated to shop this year. But at the same time, I don't want to miss out on anything great.

I haven't gone either...I was planning a trip for last Friday on opening day, but then my heart just wasn't in it, so I didn't end up going. I realized that for me, mid-July is too hot and summery to be thinking about fall clothes. I get super-excited about fall stuff in September, but while it's still summery I want to hang on to my casual summer style as long as possible :).

Im in Australia and feel like I have missed out on quite the fashion event! Next year I will plan (with help from YLF) and will bel ooking on line as I believe they do ship to Aus

No Nordies near me. But, I haven't done much looking at them online lately either. I have a lot of trouble with the whole "thinking a season ahead" thing. Plus, I've not had much luck with getting a good fit shopping Nordies online.

I have enough clothes for now. Ok, ok, I'd like a couple pairs of shorts that fit me better....and a new denim jacket. Other than those pieces, I'm waiting to see where my shape settles out this fall to buy winter things. Losing weight is a good thing, but difficult on wardrobe planning.

I, too, feel a little self-conscious with all the NAS talk flying around the forum.

I made a quick stop at Nordstrom's this weekend and got caught up in the frenzy of "OMG SALE SALE SALE". I picked up a beautiful cardigan, but as soon as I got home I realized I'm too early in my style journey to be buying pieces that I don't know I'll ever wear; I'll be heading back to the mall to return it this weekend. Maybe next year, when I've figured out things a bit more, I'll shop more seriously at NAS. Or maybe not

I hereby promise not to feel bad about not participating in NAS this year! Who's with me?

Nope. I don't feel bad about my non-participation. I find it really difficult to buy for fall/winter in July, when our daytime temps are in the high 90s. The only thing I'd want to buy at Nordstrom right now is a large iced coffee from the cafe!

Besides, I've been on a shoe spree lately. Came home from vacation in northern California with 3 new pairs and just ordered some Fluevog boots that I first saw in a store in Mendocino.
