oh no worries carter. i am not going to complain on a snow day i have been loving button downs recently too. i think because i've been able to get some that are more fluid fitting than stiff. my favorites are from the limited.

Thanks, Angie! I'm messing around with the Spring work capsule now. I'm not loving it, but it's ok. I'd prefer not to buy anything specifically for work since my son graduates next year, and we haven't decided what we're going to do. I'm voting for radical change...so we'll see! Back to the capsule...no jeans, more structured/business casual so I can meet a client at his or her office, pitch a listing, caravan, etc.

I've tried LOTS of options so far this morning, but only a few outfits have made the cut so far. Of the ones below, the first is my favorite. The others feel fine, but there's no wow. Direction help?

PS...shocked you like the skinnies/ankle pants best! Thought you'd go for the bootcuts.

BC, I sell residential real estate. My office is 42 feet from my closet:-). It's only when I have to meet a client/do a showing that I have to pay attention to how I'm dressed.

Love the first two images of your work outfits. Still debating on drinking a RedBull. I did pull out some sandals and tidied up the closet floor. It's a snow day. You are really so inspiring. Damn work is getting in the way.

Of the first batch of outfits, I prefer the solid colours and I think the lightest bone sweater looks best with the light jeans. Love all the longer length tunic/sweaters... and your shirts are wonderful too. I can't say much about bags as I'm not much of a bag lady, but I like Aida's idea for a metallic one.

I have to agree with the others who say they really like the long over lean styles on you. I also have a preference for the outfits with the solid tops rather than patterns but that's probably just my own bias.

I am jealous of your temps! We are usually finished with winter by now but we had sleet and snow last night and I am quite ready for some warmer weather.

This is great, Carter! You can see everything all spread out in one photo...taking notes for use in my Stylebook app. I love that you can see at a glance everything in your capsule....this had to take quite a commitment to organize and put this together. Applause applause!

Fabulous job, Carter. Like the others, I'm in love with the skinnies/ ankle pants outfits on you. Partly it is because it's a silhouette that truly works on you -- very flattering. Partly it's that it happens to be such a cohesive capsule so all those outfits look delicious lined up together. But also, it injects a bit more "modern" in your classic than the other mini-capsules seem to do.

Having said that, like CocoLion, I really see the value of having some superb traditional, conservative outfits on hand for occasions that call for those. Especially with certain kinds of clients. So you are completely set for whatever comes your way.

Wow Carter, add me to the list of people in awe of your organizing and planning skills. I don't think I can add anything to what others have said. I do look forward to seeing your work wardrobe as well. I like the three you posted, 1 and 3 being my favs.
