Here are few outfits from this week. I'm still working on combining various new pieces of clothing into new outfits. Also, I've been trying to pull more pieces out of my jewelry box. Comments/critique welcome!

Tuesday -- I'm not sure if the color combination of teal, brown and cream works. I love these glass earring -- should take close-up photos. However, it seems like I needed a necklace that would pull together the color combination.

Thursday -- definitely need comments on this outfit. The cardigan is technically too long for a skirt and I don't know if belting it helps. My parents gave me the silver puffed heart pendant when I was in high school -- I'm not sure if it qualifies as 80s retro/vintage or 80s dated -- although now I realize that you can't see it very well in the photo.

Friday -- I love the Leo&Sage top so much that I got the wine one when they had the 15% off sale. I debated whether to let a bit of the cream cami show at the bottom or not. Left it visible in the photo but actually covered it up before I left the house. I was afraid I'd be chilly so I added the scarf. I think I also remembered to put on lip gloss before the photo. That's usually the last thing I do before I leave the house so I'm never wearing it in the photos!

I think the teal and brown works just fine, but Friday's outfit rocks. Just fab. I like the cami showing at the bottom, love the jeans, love the boots, love the color -- everything -- both with and without the scarf. You look so great. I also very much like the cardi and skirt outfit. I'd like to see how it looks belted but with the cardi open.

Wow! AJ, your style has evolved so much, this is an awesome set of pics. I love love LOVE the Friday outfit, with and without the scarf. The top, the boots, the layering, the scarf - it is perfection. You look so hip!
I think the skirt and belted cardi look is great, I don't see any issues with the length of the cardi. Teal is a great color on you, enjoy it this fall as there is such a nice selection of teal stuff in the stores.

I am a big fan of teal and brown, I think you did a great job putting them together. You could probably get away with a gold necklace of some kind to complete the look -- it doesn't have to be colors that match the brown and teal.

That top is fabulous on you -- I can understand why you got 2 of them!

The cardigan and sweater work well together, although as Kyle noted, it may not even need the belt.

LOVE Friday's outfit -- the scarf is a brilliant addition!

Wow, AJ! All your outfits are great! I like the teal/brown/cream combo a lot. The teal and brown make the cream work for autumn. I love Thursday's outfit and didn't even notice the length of the cardi as an issue until I read your explanation. Friday's outfit is fab. Love the scarf with it!!

AJ, you have such a sleek and polished style. Every day is a 10! I love that scarf on you--it really adds a great touch to that outfit. Love the wide black belt--looks amazing over that cardi. Tuesday - where is the brown? I'm not seeing it, or my computer screen colors are off, or I'm just plain getting loopy. I think this outfit is smashing and teal is a great color on you.

As for a statement necklace to pull it together, get on over to Ann Taylor if you can. Yesterday they were having a 25% off all jewelry special (plus I had some $50 off $100 purchase coupons) and I picked up this necklace - which would be awesome with your teal cardi:

As with most AT necklaces, you can adjust the length to your heart's content, so that you can have it sit right where you want it, in the V of the collar.

Wednesday - I think this color combo works brilliantly, and I wouldn't change it. It's clever. And I think the length is perfect, very slimming. I can't see the pendant - can you take a close up?

Thursday: LOVE!! What a great top, and the wine color is scrumptions on you. You look really great in fall colors that are popular this year - wine, plums, teals, etc, creams and browns.... very flattering colors for your skin tone and hair color.

I like the cream cami peaking out - both above and below. The pendant looks interesting - tell us about that one. Love the boots; so jealous.... I am having zero luck on the boots for skinnies .... my lower legs are just too short for everything I've tried on. I think it's going to be one item that I just ultimately give up on. But you look fab since you've got those long legs... the proportions are perfect.

Oops, the photos ended up out of order. Friday is first last -- so the second photo with the cream jeans is also the Leo and Sage top in brown over the teal cami.

I'm so glad everyone loves Friday's outfit -- this was the first time that I wore boots over skinny jeans, a brave new world for me in the wardrobe category.

Next time I'll take close-ups of the necklaces -- I'm working on cleaning out my jewelry box. Since most of my necklaces are more dainty rather than statement pieces, they don't show up in the photos.

I'm late to the post, but had to comment. You look super hot (in a good, non-tawdry way) in those jeans tucked into boots. You go!

As for the skirt and sweater combo, I think it looks fine. I'm wondering, though, if a longer skirt (just to the knee) would make the proportions better.

The Tuesday color combo is great.

Alecia -- I do think the line would look better if I were wearing tights. And all that day I wished I had worn tights because it was a lot colder than I expected!

You look fantastic. My favorite is probably Friday, but I like all of them. Red is a good color on you. I think the skirt outfit works because you added a belt, and kept the skirt very tailored and fitted.
