Everyone was so great about commiserating with me when I wanted to burn my summer clothes last night, but AJ talked me into doing some summer clearance shopping and I'm so grateful!
I went to my local Kohl's today, where I had a store credit that I had forgotten about. It was really hard not to "think ahead" toward fall, but I kept muttering, "Summer, summer, summer!" under my breath as I made my way to the bags and shoes.
I am thrilled with my finds! The Chaps bag used up my $12 store credit, and I was about to leave when I thought I'd just take a quick turn around the shoe department where I found these Keds boat shoes ($8.99) and Dana Buchman flat sandals ($13.49). The bag will put a new spin on my khaki, white, dark and faded denim skirts and the sandals are my very first brightly colored shoe. They will go with all my neutrals and pick up the color of the turquoise bracelets I've been wearing all summer.
The boat shoes are so comfortable that they might just become my travelling shoes next month. I think they are so cute, and because of the low vamp, they even look good with my skirts!
